Don't dare to object to New Labour

ben | 29.09.2005 12:15 | Anti-militarism | Repression | London | South Coast

The days of dissent are limited it seems. No protests (or perhaps evening lobbying) allowed outside the House of Commons, and no dissent in the party conference...

Tony Blair has apologised to a Labour activist thrown out of the party's annual conference by stewards after shouting "nonsense" as the foreign secretary as Mr Straw told delegates: "We are in Iraq for one reason only - to help the elected Iraqi government build a secure, democratic and stable nation."

Steve Forrest, party chairman of the Erith and Thamesmead constituency was sitting next to Mr Wolfgang and was also thrown out after complaining about the outrageous incident.

To add insult to injury, 82 years old Mr Wolfgang who escaped Nazi Germany in 1937 and has been a Labour party member for 57 years foudn himself being stopped by Police under the Terrorism Act when he tried to re-enter.

who were the goons, and why were they trusted???

Simple question- having seen the sickening video of Blair's brutes descending and enforcing Blair's New Reich discipline on an old man, and the appalled bystander begging them to stop, may I enquire of all of you this...

HOW, GIVEN THAT THE EXCUSE FOR USING THESE THUGS WAS THE THREAT OF TERRORISM, WERE THE OWNERS OF THESE ANIMALS ABLE TO DETERMINE THAT ****THEY**** WERE NOT A SECURITY RISK THEMSELVES????

In other words, your average 'security' firm consists of more 'dodgy' geezers, than a private drinking establishment in London after hours. Who makes up this army of goons, that the police and MI5 are so happy to delegate security duties to???

Has the New Reich that Blair leads created an army of such thugs waiting in the wings all across Britain. This is a serious question.

Anyone who bother to track the news will have read that those members of the UK army with a real talent for torture, mayhem, and murder are offered PRIVATE contracts by the Crown (at astronomical salaries). These private contracts interrupt, but don't replace, their current army contracts, which are supposed to continue when the private contact period ends.

The private contracts have numerous advantages. Deaths of these people are NOT counted as army losses. Army discipline DOES NOT apply during the term of the new contract, allowing these forces to take FULL ADVANTAGE of total immunity for any crimes committed by them in Iraq. They are basically a mad dog army under full governmental control, but without any governmental accountability.

Every dictator needs a goon for every occasion (as witnessed by some of the trolls found in this place). We may just have witnessed elements of one of Blair's goon armies in waiting- the face of those who will happily deal out the fist and the boot to any that take part in civil disturbance in the UK once things start to get really bad, and many more people have finally woken up to the tragic consequences of Blair as dictator!

Don't dare to object to New Labour in this police state we now live in!

29.09.2005 18:19

Unfortunately the incident with Mr Wolfgang is not an uncommon one in this police state called Britain. I have seen and experienced unreasonable actions by the police many times. Here are just a few examples.

During one of the Anti Globalisation marches in London, myself and then 14 year old son where illegally stopped and detained in a London street outside John Lewis’s for many hours, along with hundreds of other people, many just tourists and passer’s by, one woman that I spoke to, had to pick her children up from school and was very worried as to what would happen to them, because when the children realised that they where not only on there own, but that when they rang home to find out where she was, they would not get a response and panic, I was there when she told the police this fact, did it make any difference? None what so ever, she had to stay put with no food drink or way of reliving herself in a crowded London street.

This was just the start of a bad day caused by actions of the state. Some might say well why take your son to a demo in London at such a young age? My answer is why not! I was proud that my teenager was taking an interest in the world, we travelled over two hundred miles by train to see this event and try to understand the argument after seeing information on the Indy Media site. How can this be a crime worthy of detention and intimidation by the state.

What made us even more angry was the fact that this action meant that we had no way of catching the last train home, and only went to London with money for the day etc and not for expensive London hotel bills. So has a result of this action both me and my son had to spend the night, a cold winters night, tramping the lonely and possible dangerous city streets, and had to buy extra tickets for our return journey home. I wrote a letter to John Stevens the top copper and they never even had the decency to reply.

Another bad experience whilst in London was on my way home in a van with my family after a nice day out. We hade been to parliament square, and seen the placards etc of Brian Haw the incredible man who has been protesting for years outside the house of pigs. I must admit that after seeing some of the atrocities on display my blood was boiling, after leaving parliament square we had to pass Downing Street, so I shouted out of the van window “Bush and Blair the evil pair. This madness must stop” and left feeling a tiny bit better. Well a few minutes or so later we where flagged down by a load of met police cars, with flashing lights etc. I thought there had been a bomb go off or something similar, but no, the police where after us? Then they got us out of the van and pushed both me and my brother against a shop window and held us therefore ages, in front of many people in a busy London street, the people passing must have thought we had done something really bad. The police where very aggressive and know that they could do what they liked. They lied to us and said the reason they stooped us was because we had no tax on the van, this was a lie, as we did. Then one officer mentioned my comments out side of Downing Street, then we knew what was going on. They were trying to scare us and kept us there for about 40 minutes.

I have many more experiences like this, so you don’t need to break any laws to get treated like this, this has to be a sign that we all now live in a police state.

New Labour apologised and grovelled saying, "it should have never have happened" but it did, and you can't blame the stewards or police, because they were just following orders.

Who gave the orders to use the Terrorist Act against hecklers? The government!

Now you can see that this law was never meant to prevent terrorism, but to prevent dissent. Which is what we "conspiracy theorists" have said all along. We are vindicated every time.
