UKIP IS THICK - SO WHAT'S NEW?

31.05.2009 08:16

To show how thick UKIP really are - they are using pictures of Winston Churchill to support their anti-European stance when in fact Churchill was an architect of the Council of Europe.

For the thicker members of UKIP this means WINSTON WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING UP A EUROPE WIDE ORGANISATION NOW CALLED THE EUROPEAN UNION.

So well done UKIP on misusing the memory of Sir Winston Churchill.

WINSTON CHURCHILL HELPED TO SET UP EU

For members of UKIP who are not convinced here's a short piece about Churchill's involvement in the early days of the EU: -

Above all, Churchill was a zealous internationalist. In 1930, his essay entitled The United States of Europe was published in the Saturday Evening Post as an early volley in support of European supra-nationalism. During the war, in a March 22, 1943 broadcast, he called for creating a Council of Europe to govern under a world institution embodying or representing the United Nations.

On September 19, 1946, Churchill made his famous speech in Zurich, in which he declared: “We must build a kind of United States of Europe”. He then helped found the United Europe Movement (UEM), a British organization, along with his son-in-law Duncan Sandys and Lord Layton, a leader in the Royal Institute of International Affairs. Churchill was the chairman, with Sandys operating as executive chairman. At the 1948 Hague Congress of Europe, Churchill, as President of Honor, delivered the opening address, in the presence of Princess (later Queen) Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.

In October 1948, the UEM joined with other continental organizations to form the European Movement and Churchill was named one of the Presidents of Honor, along with France’s Leon Blum, Belgium’s Paul-Henri Spaak and Italy’s Alcide De Gasperi. Churchill was a major figure at subsequent conferences and the leading proponent of a European Army. His prominence in the Conservative Party not only helped immensely to undermine Tory opposition to the surrender of British sovereignty, but also helped provide a more moderate image for the European Movement, which was dominated by socialists. He remained active in the movement throughout his life, and one of the three European Parliament buildings is named in his honor.

ANTI-UKIP IS THICK - SO WHAT'S NEW?

31.05.2009 08:56

Yes indeed, because the term 'racism' was defined by the UN in 1966, and is as follows:

"...any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life"

Now you people like to think you are a bit anarchist, but really this is what makes you the laughing stock of all those people who use soap. The UN is entirely undemocratic, and it is the establishment, it wants to rule you dictator style, and it does so with the cunning of Orwellian Newspeak. It brainwashes you by manipulating your language into something called political correctness. Oh and I hear you also believe in man-made global warming as well. How thick is that?

After returning from a plesant shower I was amused to read the posting of Baron von lostov and I now that its bordering on a breach of guidelines but can't we keep it that so we can prod it and poke fun of it. We need a laugh in these dark times....
Can we keep it....please please

Dear Mr von Lostov,
I do not consider myself a “bit anarchist” I am an anarchist, though I do think you are a “bit weird”, I couldn't stop laughing at your comments, they certainly are not not “Stock”

Am I correct in saying that your claiming that because the UN has provided it own definition of racism, this means they own the word and because the good people of Worthing have used this word they are having their minds controlled by the UN?

On my bookshelf is a “Collins English dictionary” which contains and defines EVERY SINGLE word I have used in this post. Who is this ”Collins”? his power is immense, he must be in league with Ernesto “che” Guevara and the Pope.

But joking aside anti-immigration rhetoric is racist and the Worthing subverters are good to point this out.

Yours

CoE?

The Council of Europe is a separate organisation from the EU.

"it is important to realise that the Council of Europe is not to be mistaken with the Council of the European Union or the European Council. These belong to the European Union, which is separate from the Council of Europe, although they have shared the same European flag and anthem since the 1980s because they also work for European integration."

So, where does that leave analysis of UKIP using Winston Churchill's photo?

I quite simply refuse to be lectured by someone who quotes the Daily mail so fervently. Nor, indeed, someone who put forward arguments in favour of the BNP so regularly:

"BNP people regularly find themselves getting death threats from extremists; indeed one was murdered a while back. A lot of people on that list were ordinary British folk, not hardline political types, and it included a lot of children as well. The BNP did all they could and went to extraordinary lengths to keep it safe, and they are required to under law anyway, apart from the fallout and damage it could do to the party if it were found on a train or a loose data stick. Just imagine if it was the entire NIR though."
Baron von Lotsov.

"They had spent tens of thousands on a High Court injunction banning the publication of it when it fell into the hands of leftwing opposition trying to infiltrate the party. They say the list is aged between 30th November and 2nd December 2007. To defy a High Court injunction is contempt of court and so a very serious offence. It will be interesting to see if the police find the people who did this. You know webservers have logs, I think they are dead meat unless the police don't try too hard. It was both encrypted and password protected, so it looks like an inside job."
Baron von Lotsov.

"The UKIP are not advocating a tracking database, they advocate tight immigration controls in the traditional sense, e.g. more immigration officers and that sort of thing. There is no difference as far as I can detect between NO2ID's position and theirs regarding all issues covered by NO2ID. They know damn well the immigration deployment of ID cards is just a ruse to get them accepted by the backdoor. Obviously because they are a political party they have a wide range of issues that NO2ID do not take a position on and so does every other party, but there is no conflict, except maybe they emphasize the EU's involvement as the primary driver of the scheme. Time will tell."
Baron von Lotsov.

Now lets see. Churchill fought a war against fascism. This Baron (is it a criminal offence to claim to be a Baron when one is a commoner? I digress) sees borders as good but databases as bad. Possibly because he was on one that was subject to, "an inside job".

The person who altered this UKIP poster did a good job, because the poster still makes sense: "Say no to unlimited racism". UKIP does indeed say no to racism, as most people know, and the modification on this one just reinforces that message. Thanks guys!

Tom Wilde - if that's what UKIP really stands for, why didn't they use that oh-so appropriate slogan on the original unadulterated poster?
Eh?

We obviously have different politics. I’m a UKIP supporter and I beleve the EU is doing immense damage to our country and I also believe in free-market capitalism. In addition to that I believe in the democratic process and a parliamentry democracy. The perfect system would be a level playing field for all parties to express their point of view, and it would be up to the people to vote for the politics that most appeals to them. As it is at the moment we are faced with gross institutional bias of the socialist-leaning BBC, to name just part of the status quo that wants us to sell out to EU control of our country.

Hmm, well you are not a million miles from my politics then of free-market economics. The deal goes that if you like it you buy it, as opposed to the EU telling you what you can buy and what you can’t, e.g. 100w light bulbs etc.

So by attacking the UKIP I presume you are pro-EU and hence calling yourself an anarchist is rather worrying. Anarchy is all about people looking after their own affairs, and I stand very much by that with various exceptions, e.g. I support law and order and respect for people’s property rights, and I accept the free market needs a certain amount of regularion to ensure it does not tend to a monopoly. Indeed I think this is roughly what we had cica 1950s.

What you actually mean by anarchist though is a left-wing activist with Marxist leanings if you go by what is the norm regarding Indymendia politics. If you are, then I can see how attacking the UKIP in this way is consistant with your political ideology, in that the UKIP are fundimentally against such socialism, whether it be that of the EU, or radical groups like the UAF and Searchlight.

Baron von Lotsov

Stop with the UKIP damage limitation already

02.06.2009 17:38

Dear Baron,

It appears that you are nothing more than a common or garden fascist intent upon enforcing the odious free market on those who chose to opt out of the free market. You hide behind claims of Anarchocapitalism because "fascist" has ceased to be a label that gets you anywhere.

First, anarchists can opt out of "free markets" because capitalism tells them what to buy. Such as 150W bulbs instead of extreme low energy bulbs. Because, "the market is not ready". Fuck the market, the planet needs the reduction in energy consumption.

Obviously, mentioning "energy" means you are permitted to rant on about "global warming".

So, go ahead, make some pseudoscientific engineering remark. pronounce on "global warming" with unscientific certainties. Argue "global warming does not exist because the sun has sunspots". Great rhetoric, bad science. Also a distraction from the essential fascism of the UKIP.

UKIP are nothing more than fascists in blazers. To pretend that they are anything other than fascists is to deny their essential nature. When the UKIP begins to put up posters saying "End Democracy: We give orders" then they have achieved some kind of honesty.

Who cares if what churchill would have thought?

03.06.2009 19:36

Can everyone stop presenting Winston Churchill as some supreme measure of morality and competing for his hypothetical support please.

Those who consider themselves anti-racists should be more than happy to let racist UKIP have there imperialist, interventionist, and warmongering dead leader.

Who even gives a s h i t what a monster like that would have to say about a racist fringe party? As a WW2 PM I'm sure he'd be happy to see a united europe in any form, and as a filthy imperialist I'm sure he'd also be happy that EU protectionism is keeping African farmers in squalor and poverty.

He probably would endorse UKIPs immigration policies though.

But it's irrelevant. The opinion of a not-particularly-enlightened-pm who ruled over 60 years ago has no bearing on the validity of any argument about racism.

ps it is hilarious that ukip members try and go ''oh thanks you've really done us a favour by vandalising our billboards'' as if people are gonna go ''aw crap we shouldn't've drawn that swastika over ukips logo, we've probably earned them hundreds of votes now'' Nice try guys but we know you hate your crappy little adverts getting rinsed on. lol
