Democracy Village Guerilla Gardening this saturday

Gareth | 10.05.2010 11:56 | Anti-militarism | Climate Chaos | Terror War | South Coast

The Democracy Village in Parliament Square would love to invite you to a Guerilla Gardening event this saturday!

If you were not already aware, the Democracy Village was established on May 1st demanding on behalf of the majority of people that the war in Afghanistan is ended and the troops are brought home with immediate effect. The Democracy Village calls all like-minded concerned citizens to come and join us. (see  http://democracyvillage.blogspot.com for more details)

This coming saturday we are very happy to invite you to a Guerilla Gardening event to brighten up Parliament Square - which is in desperate need of colourful flora.

Starting at 12pm try and make sure you bring plants, flowers and picnic food. From 4pm there will be live music, an open mic, and a discussion forum.

We welcome you to join us at the village and campaign on any issue you care about.

The democracy village will be closed down on Wednesday morning!

10.05.2010 12:54

The police have given notice to the people at the democracy village that it must close down on Wednesday morning! They have told us that it does not have permission and therefore everyone must leave the square. They have given us two days until Wednesday to pack up all the tents and equipment and leave.

More Rubbish. Just spoke to Maria over the phone. No such notice has been given.

sadly Brian Haw seems jealous of anyone else being in the square so him and his cohort are spreading lies and disinformation to try to put people off coming here to protest

tragic and pathetic

Ho Ho

ego and paranoia

seem to be the main drivers for Mr HAW and co these days it is all about them not about the protest hence lies like this

truth be told

sorry to sound cynical but considering we are in the midst of some pretty undemocratic bargaining by our "elected" representatives, what has gardening got to do with revitalising our democracy?

Come down and find out!

I Cannot Speak For Mr Haw.

However I suspect he's acutely aware that when the police inevitably break up the democracy village camp they will "forget" to make the distinction between it and his protest. Therefore his protest will be illegally cleared and eight years of work will be wasted because of some idiots.

After all that along with the purple revolution is why MI5 encouraged the democracy village to be set up.

Bang, and the dirt is gone!

Know a lot about the work of MI5 do you, pay well does it?

Civil Service Nob-Jockeys aside, you have an obligation to make the village and the camp work. You have an obligation to keep the police out. You have an obligation to put up a united front for the cause that you espouse. You have an obligation to encourage as many people, from as many backgrounds as possible, to join. One Cause, One People, One Action, One Peace.

The Conspiracy theory...IS the Conspiracy.

Cillit Bang.

So tiring

"WE've got no obligation to do fucking anyone tells us to do you asshole."

Yes you do have an obligation. You have an obligation to those around you. You have an obligation to the cause you claim to represent. You have an obligation to the people you claim to represent. Your obligations are legion. They never stop nor are ever diminished.

If you are just 'strutting' then you are a liability to everyone around you. If that is the case, then the police are the least of your problems!

And knock it off with this ATTACK, DESTROY, NO MASTERS, NO GODS rubbish. It just makes you look like a loony with parental 'issues'.

In short, grow up!
