UNITED TRIBES
The United Nations is failing us. We live with a never-ending series of wars and social, economic and environmental disasters.
As the World slips into panic about our reliance on oil/petrol for transport and our inability to move away from burning polluting fossil fuels for domestic and industrial power, there is an international economic struggle for their control.

We are fighting for the control and consumption of the World’s natural resources, creating an economy of Scarcity. The more "scared" we are of not having enough, the more we are prepared to fight for it.

There is an alternative! Abundance!

If only we believed that there was enough in this World to provide for what we need and even a little of what we want, there is no need to hoard. There is no need for greed!

There is a leap of faith required from us all to get to that place.

We need something to unite behind. We need something to believe in. But we also need to dance!

United Tribes is a clubnight for people of all descriptions to Come Together under the universal banner of harmony – harmony with eachother and with the environment.

United Tribes is about taking an ethical stance right into the heart of the UK’s party club scenes.

United Tribes is about Party People enjoying an eclectic blend of Breaks and Beats from big name and underground DJ’s, providing conscious mixes of cutting-edge tunes that raise awareness and help us all contribute to the collective consciousness required to rid this planet of greed. The Wikkid'n'Wild DJ LineUp for Sat 23rd includes: Pentatonik, Offshore, Mikee, DJ Jens, OW, DJ Spinsta (conscious dubby global dance) and G* (playing Arabesque, Dervish & SufiStyle along with Ska & Reggae Classics).

Live acts such as KORU & The United Tribes Band and T23 & The Psychedelic Circus (see below) and Clown Warfare (rude breaks and twisted technology) add a different dimension to this diverse dance scene.

United Tribes is truly genre-busting musik. It is an example of how we can all forget our fears of our differences and to unite on a common love.

United Tribes is brought to you by KORU, ComeTogetherRecords and Campaign Promotions.

Many Tribes, Many Vibes – One Love!

Ring Around The Amazon (RATA)Ring Around The Amazon (RATA) is a new campaign that aims to purchase and police a strip of land to protect what’s left of the Amazon Rainforest from the logging and destruction that threatens the survival of many species of plants and animals in this unique environment.

We know we can’t get back what has already been lost. We know we can’t buy all of what’s left. But we know what we can do…we can make a stance!

We can buy and draw a line over which the loggers cannot cross. We can say enough is enough. We can say "The rest is ours – leave it alone!"

RATA is a fledgling project that has potential, but it needs a lot of work. This is the "Activist Launch" to gather people with environmental awareness and to harness their campaigning and creative abilities and energies.

So please come along to UNITED TRIBES at Brixton’s Bar Loca on Saturday 23rd October to add your voice to this cause and to party in a friendly atmosphere. We want to send a clear message to the world that there will soon be a protective Ring Around The Amazon!

For those coming for the RATA Launch:

It costs £3 at the door to join RATA, which also gets you in FREE to United Tribes for the night as well as further concessions at future KORU/United Tribes events.

Of your £3 membership, 40% goes towards the night’s production, promotion and performers’ costs and 60% to RATA for future awareness and fundraising activities.

ABOUT KORU & United Tribes
KORU is a Shamanic and Nomadic Maori Musician/Producer/DJ whose mission it is to unify all cultures through his unique and all-embracing dance music that seamlessly fuses genres as diverse and delightful as Tribal House, PsyBreaks, Global Grooves and if you’re lucky, some throbbing Drum & Space (Psychedelic Drum & Bass) as well as the very latest TripFUNK (Sexy, Funky, Tripped-Out Grooves!). KORU plays his own original tunes live from a laptop adding Maori magic. Watch out for the live United tribes Band and KORU's CyberBass interventions!

With several albums and singles well received on the international dance scene (Natural Power reached No. 5 in Pete Tong’s Radio One Online Dance Charts), KORU is highly respected as a live artist with a right royal pedigree. In the UK, he has rocked The Ministry of Sound, Fabric, The Dog Star and Pendragon at Brixton Academy.

KORU travels the world playing large and popular dance events ranging from ecosystem (a 40,000 strong dance event in the heart of Amazonas, Brazil in aid of Greenpeace), The Cannabis Festival, The Fierce Festival, The Eclipse Festival, Earthdance, The Full Moon Party in Thailand on New Year's Eve, to gigs in Bombay, Goa, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and many European cities, as well as last year’s Glades Stage at Glastonbury Festival. ABOUT T23 & The Psychedelic Circus
T23 are a Psychedelic Art Trance-Rock Band hailed as "The new darlings of the Underworld" (Greg Prism, Clockwork Prism) and "A must see!" (NME). Featuring Phil Honey-Jones (ex-Nurotica) on Vocals and SpaceGuitar, the Andy Warholesque multi-media savvy Spaceman Sam on Bass & E303 and DJ Fungi spinning up the core tunes. The Psychedelic Circus are their colourful entourage that includes Bongos, Didges and Dancers.

T23 are launching their new album "When The Going Gets Weird…" next month with a new, direct route to market for unsigned acts that other bands and acts can instantly reproduce, once they’ve seen the system that cuts out the music industry and solves the age-old problem of distribution (G* says: "Up yours, Sony!").
