Eliminate greed, introduce need!

The world today is littered with greed and selfishness, from huge multinationals who want to please their shareholders to those who want to make a quick buck.

A new website has just been launched to attempt to overcome this problem which most worldwide economies are facing by eliminating the need for money and introducing bartering on a global scale.

Tarmarc has been set up by a group of individuals who were sick and tired of seeing those they love working in life saving jobs for a pittance, whilst at the same time feeling like they were being held to ransom by traditional tradesmen.

The Tarmarc idea and concept was born of frustration, but it is already becoming a popular opt out for those who want to trade their numerous skills with like minded people on a local level in exchange for credits, not money.

The idea is simple, but has never been seen on this scale before. New members of the Tarmarc ‘family’ pay a yearly administration charge which allows them to list up to ten skills for which they can work for others in the community. The skills can be anything ‘tradable’ from driving to children’s entertaining to dog walking to plumbing.

Once subscribed the users are sent lists of other users and their skills in the local area which allows them to contact each other and agree a credit charge for work which they need. Upon completion of work, their Tarmarc account is updated and the members are credited or debited accordingly.

In the system approximately 50% of all members have a positive balance and 50% of members have a negative balance. Work can be undertaken as and when is agreeable to both parties and this has the benefit of allowing members to build up strong friendships, community links and have often expensive work undertaken for no labour cost.

It is seen as eliminating greed and fulfilling need. The only time money comes into the equation is for the purchase of materials needed, but the main cost of any job, the labour, comes free!
