Settlers of the illegal Jewish settlement of “Brakha” assaulted the Palestinian citizens of the village of “Iraq Boureen” south to Nablus, and burned their fields destroying their annual crops, therefore depriving them their annual income. The citizens say that these assaults are repeated under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, where the soldiers provide the settlers with machinegun fire cover

Events of the past 24 hours in Palestina

Ramallah May 30th 2002 Wafa; Below is a brief of the major events and developments on the Palestinian area during the past 24 hours:

Medical sources in Nablus said that the Palestinian citizen Muhammad Ahmad Abu Snowbar (26) was killed due to direct hit of bullet that penetrated his body when the Israeli occupation forces opened their machinegun fire towards him while he was in his Village “Oseen” near Nablus in the West Bank. The sources added that he died instantly.

The Israeli occupation forces stationed at the top of the watchtowers of the illegal Jewish settlement of Gani Tal in the Gaza Strip opened their machinegun fire towards the residential and agricultural area of the “Delta” area west to the city of Khan Younis, causing severe damages to civilian houses and terrorizing the citizens. The local inhabitants say that these Israeli crimes are practiced on daily bases in order to force them to leave their houses and their land.

Dr. Nidal Ahmad Raslan, mechanical engineer, was arrested twice since he returned back home from Russia. The first time he was detained for 45 days in which he was interrogated and released because no accusations were established against him. Yesterday the Israeli occupation forces ransacked his house in Abu Qash village west to Ramallah in the West Bank, vandalized his belongings destroying them in their thorough search, after which they led him to unknown destination.

Mr. Nabil Abu Redeneh, President Arafat media advisor said that all International efforts must focus, now, on forcing Israel to stop its aggression, attacks and terror against the Palestinians.

Wafa reporter said that the Israeli occupation forces have established roadblocks at the entrances of the city of Ramallah preventing the citizens from leaving or returning to their homes, he also said that many Ramallah residents slept last night out in the open waiting to be allowed to reunite with their families.

For the third successive day, the Israeli occupation forces are occupying the cities of Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour, and practicing their typical crimes of insulting, humiliating and terrorizing the citizens.

Settlers of the illegal Jewish settlement of “Brakha” assaulted the Palestinian citizens of the village of “Iraq Boureen” south to Nablus, and burned their fields destroying their annual crops, therefore depriving them their annual income. The citizens say that these assaults are repeated under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, where the soldiers provide the settlers with machinegun fire cover, the local citizens also say that the settlers have uprooted over 150 olive trees during the past few months.
