What's happening to Al-Jazeera's English language website? it is being overloaded naturally through high usage, or is it being attacked by USA hackers attaching data packets to the site?

I searched the site this morning for an explanation of its downtime and could not find anything - did anyone else have any luck getting an explanation?

Whatever the reason, I hope Al-Jazeera manage to sort out the problem or evade it somehow. At a time of international crisis when so many norms and values of international relations are being challenged, it would be great to have a reliable alternative source of news. The BBC (Blair + Bush corporation) and other UK news sources seem determined to fill us with government propoganda rather than news. It is possible that Al-Jazeera is also producing someone's propoganda, but this does not seem to fit with the station's history, and in any case, it is certainly not giving out the US/UK version of the truth.

To any one who has not viewed the website, keep looking out for it and trying to access it. It was online for at least 12 hours until sometime today.
