& now they're eviction plants.

ipsiphi | 01.08.2003 22:41 | Social Struggles

This weeks report from the paral·lel universe of Okupe-dominium.

Police come without bulldozers and threaten the blessed herb of Can Mas Deu.

Eviction = Cultivation.

Can Pascual guay. = Cool Can Pascual
Can Pascual guay. = Cool Can Pascual

Ok so I have informed the reader of United Kollectives IMC for some time now of the evictions and threat of evictions to the Okupes of the Iberian peninsula.
Well this week it is with great pleasure that I relate the non-eviction of one the other important prime sites of geo-mantic geo-political real estate withdrawn from the Hyper-capitalist and simply downright greedy Capitalist Speculative order and liberated for years just outside Barcelona in the hills.
Can Pascual is a farm and home to many.
Really cool.

Oh but that tranquility was to be rudely disturbed this week.
shock horror.
Police came and surrounded the site with vans and uniforms and judicial documents.
As the reader in United Kollectives might be aware the quasi-special olympics for police men is being held in Barcelona from the end of July to early August, so the local mounties have something to prove perhaps.

Thus did began the panic.

Out went the call along the viscous web of global okupe-dominio and the paral·lel universe. They had not come to evict the cool Can Pascual. Oh no. they had come to uproot the plants.
>>>they came to uproot the plants? of an organic collective pretty and very cool autonomous farm?
<<imagine.
Barcelona is one of the global gateways and nodes of the human conscienceness, it being so terribly cool that everyone in the government resigned in protest against the Iraq War, and everyone has enough to eat and has been invited to spèak at the Forum2004 year of direct action next year.
& they came to confiscate the marijuana.

tsk tsk tsk
the introduction to the post-panic report reads "Com deia un company meu, "No existeixen els okupes, existeix la gent que okupa"... and translates from the Catalan to american as "as a mate of mine says, "there are no squats, there exists [only]{yet written once it submits to inteference} only squatters".

Think about the next time you squat.
