The Eco-camp is an incrdible imaginative, creative space with a very empowering atmosphere.
When we arrived a band from Ghana started singing and drumming and the kids have organised a little protest with the Rebel Clown Army. They all danced around.

Menawhile dinner was ready - Anarchist Teapot cooked lovely potatoes with tomatoes and veggie mash and I really overfilled myself.

Met different protesters and friends, and also the Christian group who were overenthusiastic about the camp and want to organise their church now non-hierarchically.
A lot of Christians who came here got politicised, I was told, and were wondering that everybody on the campsite would be so friendly and non-materialistic and respect each other, and felt really safe and secure.
They fought with psalms and prayers against the G8, reading the bible to the riotcops and for the next summit would like to have live links to street medics and indymedia so they can pray asap for the people in need.

When we left, the kids protest was heading for the police lines, who let us pass without problems, and some Italians (?) organised their very own version of the Highland games.
