Boycott Yahoo, Microsoft and Google

In light of the collaboration of the, profit-first morality second, corporate interests with China to imprison it's own people I have decided to boycott these bastards. I would encourage you to take a stand too and withdraw your support.

BBC report
Google's launch of a new, self-censored search engine in China is a "black day" for freedom of expression, a leading international media watchdog says.

Reporters Without Borders joined others in asking how Google could stand up for US users' freedoms while controlling what Chinese users can search for.

"Google's statements about respecting online privacy are the height of hypocrisy in view of its strategy in China," said Reporters Without Borders.

Information supplied by Yahoo! helped journalist Shi Tao get 10 years in prison

The text of the verdict in the case of journalist Shi Tao - sentenced in April to 10 years in prison for “divulging state secrets abroad” - shows that Yahoo! Holdings (Hong Kong) Ltd. provided China’s state security authorities with details that helped to identify and convict him, Reporters Without Borders said today.

Here is a typical letter. Please feel free to copy.

Dear Yahoo-ers,

I know that you have received tons of complaints about your disgraceful collaboration with the human-rights-abusing Chinese authorities.

I am thinking specifically about the case of poor Mr Shi Tao, the Chinese journalist.

Please try to put human decency ahead own materialistic agenda for once.

Being a police informant is the lowest one can be. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Imagine if your employees had grown a backbone and stood up to management and resisted. Imagine if all rich corporations has stood in unison and refused to comply with this immoral dictate.

Maybe if you had stood up, a good man wouldn't be rotting in prison for 10 years.

In time you will be remembered like IBM is today, as a Nazi collaborator.

Please do your utmost to redress your criminal involvement and issue an apology. In the mean time I will boycott your activities and others such as yourselves.

Sincerely,

[your name]
