Unite Against Fascism is starting a group in Nottingham to join with other groups in the East Midlands and nationally.

Unite Against Fascism (UAF) is a national campaign formed to defeat the British National Party (BNP), National Front, and other fascist organisations in Britain. UAF unites all those opposed to fascism; trade unions, the anti-racist and anti-fascist movement, black and Asian communities, lesbian and gay communities…
The BNP is a fascist organisation that stands in the tradition of Hitler’s Nazis. It tries to gain support by whipping up hatred against every minority just as Hitler did. It wants an all-white UK and stands against our democratic rights.
UAF campaigns against fascism in all its forms. UAF aims to campaign and mobilize the majority, who are anti-racist and anti-fascist wherever the fascists organise.
Unite Against Fascism is launching a group in Nottingham. We plan stalls to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day (Saturday 27 January), events, film showings, concerts, leafleting, petitioning and other activities.
An Organising Meeting will be held at the International Community Centre on Mansfield Road at 7.30pm on Tuesday 23 January. We will be making plans for an official launch event and other events in and around Nottingham. We would like to invite you to this meeting, and anyone else who wants to speak out against the fascists.

Suckers fall for it. You should fight the real enemy. The Labour Party is stuffed with Class Traitors. The biggest difference between New Labour and the BNP is that the BNP are more honest. Do not read that as approval of the BNP - they are seriously misled - fortunately! But if they have an internal revolution and publicly dump Griffin and his ilk they might become a very formidable force in electionas.
All Politicians are after Money, support the principle of money, and misuse money. Politicians who misuse money and allow it to inflate are as criminal as money forgers. All Political Parties does that.. Dump all Politicians.

Having given us the now generic troll line ("New labour are worse than the BNP, why don't you concentrate on them..."), Anti-Parliamentarian gives us a subtle hint at his/her real agenda - what's your answer to inflation then? Distributism or corporatism by any chance?
And yes, the BNP may well make some gains in 2007 - I doubt they'll be very significant gains though. Not because of anti-fascist resistance, but becuase the British state isn't going to let it happen any more than they let Mosley get anywhere seventy years ago.
The sad thing is that a concerted working class, non-party-political fight back against fascsim could be the empowering kick up the arse we need in this country to make some real lasting change, but as long as parasites like the SWP are involved, its going nowhere. I notice that UAF document doesn't even mention the SWP - are they finally beginning to learn how much their open involvement puts off potential recruits?
The BNP, New Labour and the SWP can all drop dead as far as I'm concerned - none of them offer anything to normal working class people in this country.
