At around 1pm a group of around 30 students from the University of Birmingham People & Planet society, some dressed as oil workers and bankers, entered the University of Birmingham NatWest branch. Once inside the 'bankers', imitating RBS's own 'Oil and Gas team', gave a sarcastic presentation entitled 'Climate Change; We make it happen' to staff and customers of the branch, which equated the banks high 'embedded emissions' with high turnover, dismissing the environmental impacts. Afterwards the group set off round campus giving mock career presentations in social areas to large numbers of bemused staff and students.
