Maud Lennard - 7 attempts to remove, Still here, Still resisting

Spoke to Maud in Yarl's Wood Sunday morning, she said, "I was not put on the plane Friday (7th December), apparently the leaf letting by the campaign at the airport worked, they spoke to passengers & crew, the airline told the escorts they would not carry me.

Undaunted the Home Office tried again to remove me yesterday (Saturday) on an Egypt airline, but I made a bit of a fuss and the crew refused to fly me."
There will be a fuller report from the campaign anon: Maud Lennard Must Stay!

Aderonke Falode, still here, refused to leave Yarl's Wood
Ronke speaking from Yarl's Wood 10:45 this morning, (30 minutes after the flight time)
"The guards came for me and the children at 2:00am this morning, the children were still asleep. They asked me to wake the children and said they would give me 30 minutes to pack my belongings. I didn't wake the children and when they came back I said I was not leaving, they threatened to handcuff me, I said I would not let them. They tried to persuade me to go to the airport and resist there if I wanted to, but I didn't I sat tight. So we are still here but don't know what happens next."

Jumoke, Daniella & Elizabeth Back in Birmingham
"Just to let you know, met Jumoke, Daniella & Elizabeth at New Street station yesterday at 7:00pm, she was sent back to Birmingham from Yarl's Wood IRC, with no money and no keys to get into her accommodation. But the main thing was she was allowed back, although temporary. When she saw us she came running up to us shouting thank you thank you, she was just so relieved and so were we.

Yarl's Wood detention centre didn't know, Aston brook housing (who owns the property) had no out of hours numbers, immigration offices in Solihull no out of hours number but in the end the fire service came to the rescue and got us into Jumoke's house with minimal damage. We all sat in the fire engine, which Elizabeth and Daniella loved, especially trying the hats on! Thank you to the fire service they spoke to Jumoke so sensitively and wished her luck. We stayed with her for a while and got her some shopping and as we left she asked us to please keep up the campaign, which we will."
Thanks to all who have supported over the last week, Jacky Mulveen

Veneera Aliyeva: "I am very pleased to be able to tell you that Venera, Anna and Murat have been released from Yarl's Wood and are back home in Swansea.
The family were released by the Home Office Wednesday afternoon "pending the outcome of the children's judicial application". We don't have any more details than that at present - but I will let you know more when I can."

Meltem Avcil: "Still in Still in Millbank Induction Centre but Meltem & her mum are not detained, they are free to leave the centre at anytime, if they can find accommodation that is free. Home Office have not been able to find them NASS accommodation in Doncastor!!! Meantime Meltem has received a letter offering her a place in a school, starting in January, in Kent!!!"
Meltem finally gets to blow out the candles on her birthday cake
