More Social Centres Wanted Now !!!

As you are all aware, many of our social centres are being shut down, with evictions, bastard bailiffs backed up by their facist stormtroopers in the Metropolitan police and scumbag developers building crap homes for the filthy rich scum wanting to either move in or rent out at ridiculous rents leaving no room for social housing or housing for key workers such as nurses, teachers etc.

However having roamed around several parts of Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets, my friends and I have come across many buildings where new social centres could spring up.

We don't wish to advertise those buildings on here due to the amount of plod activity especially from GD n GN aka Hackney Police but one of us will leave a list at L.A.R.C. over the next week or so, so that those of you who start these social centres up can set up many more.

I thankyou and especially all those who ran the Radical Dairy some years back, respect to all who bring us together through the network of social centres.

Lets have social centres throughout the world.

We're not short of buildings, we're short of people to help out. Occupying a new building is a lot of work ; not only the ammount of cleaning and rebuilding but also the fact the place has to be occupied 24/7. There's not enough people helping out at existing/upcoming places ; I don't know where you'll find the people to open new spaces !

i agree, there are tons of empty houses in london. its finding the people. but many people just arnt committed to the work coz there wedded to the commitments of a 9-5 job..however universities have lots of people who'd be willing to open some social centres. all it needs is a few meetings and action will take place.. students these days in london face massive tuition fees and massive debts for the future, so are looking for a way round the monotony and poverty experienced...a place which was great was the square in russell square which managed to provide free accomodation to students and yet function as a social centre too....so perhaps we could put on a meeting somewhere?

I have been involved in many social centres, and got stuck into all the cleaning up, cracking the buildings and having the law attempt to break in on several occasions to get us out, in one former social centre the cops even had the electric cut off from outside in the street, but we continued to resist every attempt by those coppers who harassed local people for even coming into the building.

So if you have a social centre and want someone to come in and help just leave a message with the legal observer at LARC for me as he knows my identity which I won't give out on here due to the amount of filoth logging in.
