Explaination from elsewhere in the wire

10.04.2008 09:25

at 7.15 this evening supporters from brian haw's peace camp attempted to make a citizen's arrest of ken livingstone outside parliament. they were arresting him on suspicion of criminal damage, harrassment, assault, and other charges arising from his authorisation of private security guards and fencing on parliament square during last year to remove parts of the peace camp unlawfully.

armed police arrived from everywhere and eventually succeeded in releasing mr livingstone from the clutches of barbara tucker and others. then they aided and abetted his escape without listening to the charges. no arrests were made.

barbara herself refused to submit to police bail this afternoon related to an incident where she was arrested on suspicion of unauthorised demonstration after haranguing alan duncan mp outside the gates of parliament back in february (  http://publish.indymedia.org.uk/en/2008/03/392788.html)

she has filed a judicial revue on the incident after she was held at belgravia police station for nearly 20 hours at that time.

film of ken livinstone's escape and arrest will follow later

I applaud Brian and all who spend so much time protesting at the square but it has clearly tipped them into madness. This is an embaressing display. You look like nutters. Do you think Ken will respond to the peace camp more positively after this display?

Police aid escape then kidnap to cover up.

10.04.2008 19:17

Following the arrest of Ken Livingstone, who is now at large aided by the Metropolitan Police in his escape from custody, Members of the Parliament Square Peace Campaign have been kidnapped by police today in revenge and as part of the ongoing cover up of Police crimes!

This morning around 0945hrs Barbara Tucker was taken from Parliament Square by 15 criminal police officers, then around 1630hrs another witness, Mrs Charity Sweet, in revenge for the above article, was abducted from the square and taken to Belgravia Police Station where she has been held incommunicado since. Attempts to find out what has happened to her have been met by a very rude and obstructive officer repeatedly putting the phone down on callers and then disconnecting the custody suite phone preventing anyone from finding out what is going on and in what condition their hostages are in.

Eventually, after repeated attempts and finally calling through the police switch board, Belgravia custody has reconnected the phone. But custody is still avoiding answering what is happening or how they are. Earlier by around 12 noon today, the criminal police had confirmed that they were going to hold Barbara until tommorrow morning before bringing her before the court. They have had all day to get her 5 mins down the road, but have intentionally held her against her will and denied anyone any information about her state of health. I have also been unable to find out about Charity's state of health since her abduction.

What point is there to having police - and worse - paying for them, when they are the biggest criminal organisation in this country - at least some people are upholding the law and arresting the criminals, all from the Parliament Square Peace Campaign - unlike the police who then make sure the criminals escape.

it's enough to make Voltaire reconsider

The sheer scale of the lunacy involved in this action is mindboggling, on the one hand decrying the state as corrupt and irredeemable, and on the other assaulting its functionaries in order to hand them over to the state's justice system, all the while claiming to be peaceful.

Who needs agent provocateurs when you've got care-in-the community...

Clever Cloggs

Yes - how very clever turning left-wing anti-war people against one another. Now who might want to do that I wonder? Only those influenced by undercover intel officers or the very stupid.
