been part of the U.S. incorporated money laundering stock fraud called
Xybernaut with various Israeli government connected criminals while

affairs all with a pro Israel bias.And of course there is Mansoor Ijaz
and Crescent Hydropolis an illegal pump and dump fraud on the LSE or
London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market(AIM)that claimed

Nomani, a former Wall Street Journal reporter, and Barbara Feinman
Todd, an associate dean at Georgetown, created a journalism seminar in
2007 to investigate Pearl's death and write the story that he was
reporting when he was kidnapped. They also wanted to learn more about
terrorist cells, counterterrorism efforts and the complicated
relationship between the United States and Pakistan.
In the early days of the class, Nomani told the students of her
longtime friendship with Pearl, a musician who hung out with her in
Adams Morgan bars after work in the 1990s. She asked the students, a
mix of undergraduates and graduates, to talk about their own memories
of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
The class immediately felt different -- more emotional, weightier,
students said. "We weren't sitting in front of a textbook reading
about Danny Pearl's case," said Erin Delmore, a 2008 graduate. "We
were in it, head-first in it."

Journalists acquainting themselves with Pakistan usually come to
Karachi last or don't come, period. I'd resolved to be among the
latter category, after Benazir Bhutto advised that Karachi was "so
dangerous." I changed my mind after several weeks testing calmer
Pakistani waters and convincing myself that former prime ministers
don't know anything - typical journalist thinking, when a story's

and Karachi is their Rome. Besides, an old friend from the Journal was

Asra, who'd been at the Journal since 1988, was a Dow Jones original.

Virginia, where her father helped found the first mosque. And
corporate America, Asra wasn't: in January 2000 she took a leave to
write a book about Tantra.
She'd been conducting her research from India. Shortly after 9/11,
however, Salon.com appointed her its Central Asia correspondent and
she later took a house in Karachi, a fact that almost certainly did
not go unnoticed by Pakistan's ISI, which keeps tabs on foreign
journalists, particularly those from India, who are presumed, ipso

Why doesn't Asra Nomani tell us what she knows about Fox News ' Middle

Shoe bomber Richard Reid may have been strip-searched by Israel's
security-conscious El Al airlines before they flew him from Amsterdam
to Tel Aviv in July 2001, but in the Gaza Strip he was accorded
upgraded hospitality.

According to DEBKAfile's military and intelligence sources, Nabil
Aqal, one of the senior operations officers of Hamas's military wing,
the Izz el-Deen al-Qassam brigades, laid out the personal welcome mat,
hosting the strapping Briton at his home in Gaza's Jabalya refugee
camp for several days.

Aqal was related to Imad Aqal, the brigades' operations officer in the
first Intifada in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Israel liquidated
Imad Aqal in late 1991, when the uprising was on the wane. He did not
treat his unusually tall visitor like any chance tourist. Reid was
kept carefully hidden in Nabil Aqal's home away from prying eyes,
except for a nocturnal outing round the Gaza coastal area and its
famous fish restaurants. Aqal was seen playing the tour guide for his
important guest, an extraordinary display of hospitality on the part
of a senior al-Qassam officer. Fundamentalist Hamas leaders usually
give the restaurant strip and its free-flowing alcohol a wide berth,
acutely aware that that it is also teeming with the spies and
informers employed by the various intelligence agencies services
operating in the Gaza Strip.

DEBKAfile's intelligence sources report that the multinational inquiry
into Reid's actions at Aqal's home focus on question of where Reid
received the explosive shoes he tried to detonate aboard the American
Airlines Paris-Miami flight on December 22. Were the explosives handed
over in Aqal's home, by his host or a Hizballah visitor?.....
Investigation of the Reid episode has exposed evidence of
cross-fertilization in the international terrorist movement. In a
word, the operational marriage Arafat sealed with the Hizballah to
enhance the effectiveness of his confrontation with Israel, yielded a
contribution to the international terror campaign 19 months

Had Israel spoken up, or at least dropped some hint about Reid, he
never would have been allowed to board the American Airlines plane.
Washington would have tipped off French authorities, which would have
picked Reid up immediately on his arrival in Paris.........
The Americans believe someone at ICTS must have known that Reid
planned to take that flight and passed it on to Israel, which withheld
information that could have prevented a major air disaster.........
The Israeli response to US allegations is no less harsh. They admit
letting Reid board an El Al flight from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv in July,
although an armed sky marshal was ordered to sit next to him. This was
a calculated risk in order to find out who Reid's contacts were in
Israel and the Palestinian territories and the only way to cover his
movements effectively.
Israel also realized eight months ago that terrorist operatives had
discovered a "dead spot" in support beams for electronic scanning
equipment at airports, located roughly 10 cm (four inches) from the
floor, through which weapons and explosives can pass undetected....
Israel passed this discovery on to the Americans with a
recommendation to pay particular attention to the shoes of suspect
passengers.....
Reid's were therefore taken off and examined when showed up at
Amsterdam airport for his flight to Tel Aviv, but nothing was found.
However, Washington, say the Israelis, failed to act on their warning.
Indeed, prior to the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington,
they accuse US authorities of consistently ignoring Israeli
information linking al-Qaeda and Hizballah terror networks and
operations to Arafat and his senior security and intelligence
lieutenants. As a result, Israel decided not to bother to let the
United States know about Reid last July.

Major General Amos Malka, the outgoing chief of Israeli military
intelligence, gave the following account in a farewell interview with
Israel's Maariv newspaper on December 28:

"Two years ago, Israeli intelligence services received concrete
information about Hizballah activities among the Moslem communities in
Europe aimed at developing a terrorist infrastructure. Israel asked
intelligence agencies and Western governments to put a stop to these
Hizballah activities. Their response was hostile, accusing us of
distorting information for political gain. Today, the world
understands things differently and is more ready to hear us out."

On the line that morning was Mansoor Ijaz, founder and chairman of
Crescent Investment Management, L.L.C., and a U.S.born-and-bred
Pakistani-American with unusual friends and interests. His business
partner is Lieutenant General James Abrahamson, former director of
Ronald Reagan's Star Wars program; the vice-chairman of his board, R.
James Woolsey, director of the Central Intelligence Agency under Bill
Clinton. For a time Ijaz was also chums with Clinton and his
national-security adviser Samuel Berger. This came in handy in April
1997, when, as a private citizen, Ijaz negotiated Sudan's
counterterrorism offer to the U.S., and again in August 2000, when
Ijaz had Pakistan and India on the seeming verge of cooling the
Kashmir cauldron. The deal broke down, as did the relationship with
the White House. But soon enough Ijaz was back, as tight with George
W. and Condie as he'd been with Bill and Sandy.

Danny called on a tip from Indian intelligence, which said Ijaz was
wired with leading jihadis. Figuring that a prominent
Pakistani-American who came recommended by Indian spooks to get to
Muslim militants must have been a gold mine for Danny, I did the same
nine months later.

intriguing than who was giving Reid orders.

A story in the January 6 edition of The Boston Globe got Danny on the
case. It reported that U.S. officials believed Reid to be a follower
of Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani, a leader of an obscure Muslim
militant group named Jamaat ul-Fuqra ("The Impoverished"). Described
by the State Department's 1995 report on terrorism as dedicated "to
purifying Islam through violence," ul-Fuqra recruited devotees from as
far away as the Netherlands and had sent jihadis into battle in
Kashmir, Chechnya, Bosnia, and Israel. Since the early 1980s, ul-Fuqra
had also operated in the U.S., where, under the name Muslims of
America, its largely black membership lived on rural communes in 19
states, where they were linked to a variety of activities, including —
according to authorities — money-laundering, arson, murder, and the
1993 attack on the World Trade Center. Gilani — who was said to have
had four wives, two of them African-American — was, for a time, based
himself in the States, but now he was mostly to be found in a walled
compound in Lahore, Pakistan, where a Pakistani official said that one
of his visitors was Richard C. Reid.

The Globe quoted a Gilani "spokesman" and "friend" as denying any
relationship between the sheikh and Reid, and warning that further
such accusations were not advisable. "If you push him ... he has no
option but to declare jihad on America," said Khalid Khawaja. "It will
blow like a volcano." ............

Given the above social contacts, from Daniel Pearl's point of view,
Mansoor Ijaz was indeed the man to meet. "He [Pearl] wanted me to
introduce him to people who could open doors for him," explained Ijaz
in Vanity Fair. One of those doors opened to Khalid Khawaja, a former
ISI agent whose militant credentials included a longstanding
friendship with Osama bin Laden. But Khawaja was a liberal militant,
counting among his acquaintances both Ijaz and Woolsey, with whom he
carried on a lengthy correspondence.

With Ijaz's letter of reference in hand, Pearl established contact
with Khawaja in Pakistan. As reported by Arshad Sharif in a February
14, 2002 item from Dawn, "Khawaja claimed that he introduced Mr. Pearl
to his contacts and arranged interviews with Taliban diplomats and
other people." According to the "official" record of Pearl's
journalistic quest, he was on the trail of Richard Reid, otherwise
known as the "shoe bomber." According to Anson, Pearl believed that
Reid was a follower of Sheikh Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani, "a leader of an
obscure Muslim militant group named Jamaat ul-Fuqra."...............

Meanwhile, Daniel Pearl's chaperone, the "militant" Khalid Khawaja,
was beginning to feel the heat due to his involvement in managing
Pearl's appointment book. For a presumed partisan of bin Laden,
Khawaja seemed to be unduly concerned about the bad press that Pearl's
disappearance was garnering him. According to a February 15, 2002
article in Dawn by Arshad Sharif: " Khawaja said it was on the
intervention of [Mansoor] Ijaz that Newsweek toned down its article
which was allegedly raising an accusing finger on him." In a typical
example of post-9/11 news management, Khawaja - presumed friend of
Osama bin Laden - shared his correspondence from editor Gretel Kovach
of Newsweek:

"If it is of any consolation, you may have read in the e-mails I
sent Mansoor that the Newsweek article would have been much stronger
in pointing the finger at you as the person who led Danny into
trouble. Thankfully, I spoke with Mansoor and was able to offer a
contrary account - that you refused Danny's request, and that others
tricked him into thinking he could meet Gilani."

Mansoor Ijaz - fellow propagandist and business partner of the
ubiquitous James Woolsey - wasn't exactly a disinterested party in the
matter, for if it was Khawaja who had led Pearl to his ultimate fate,
so, too, by association, would suspicion lie with Ijaz, who had sent
Pearl on to Khawaja.

at a rally in New York on September 11 to protest plans to build a
mosque close to Ground Zero. Politicians in the Netherlands fear the
worst for the country's image abroad.
During the rally being organised by a group called Stop Islamization
Of America (SIAO) which wants to prevent the building of a mosque so
close to Ground Zero, Wilders will be one of the speakers -- which
also include Newt Gingrich and other prominent politicians, plus 9/11
family members.
There was a time when Geert Wilders was mainly known as the

Bloomberg aide indicted

A bit out of line with the mayor's reform image:

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. just announced an
indictment in the case of John Haggerty Jr., a Mayor Bloomberg
campaign aide who oversaw a $750,000 donation that went from the
campaign through the state Independence Party in the 2009 race, but
that no one was able to account for.

He has been charged with grand larceny, money laundering and
falsifying business records.

UPDATE: The D.A. puts the best possible light on this for Bloomberg,
casting him as the victim; Haberman has questions, though.

A tale of two suicides

Reuters:

The chief executive of Leader Capital Markets, one of Israel's top
investment banks, has committed suicide, a company spokeswoman said on
Sunday.

Danny Barak, 48, jumped from his office on the 17th floor of one
of Tel Aviv's most prominent office towers on Friday, the spokeswoman
said.

Barak, who is survived by his wife and four children, did not
leave a note explaining his suicide.

"It is a mystery," the spokeswoman said.




Meanwhile, back in America, in New York City, we have an interesting

resort of Eilat. Sharon's sons were recommended for indictment, too,
for acting as bagmen. Sharon would also have been sent for
prosecution, cops said, but he's been in a coma for four years.

Obstfeld was not named in the bribery case, but he and Schlaff
were partners in several projects, sources said.

And now Obstfeld jumped over a 9 foot wall - he must have been
very determined to commit suicide.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert recently spent half a

The New York Times continued its defense of the proposed mosque near
Ground Zero on Friday, when it published a fawning, 1,600-word cover
story on how Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s support of the Ground Zero
mosque stems from his “passion” for Constitutional rights and his own
personal brush with anti-Jewish prejudice.

And while Bloomberg was quoted in the story saying he’s “not winning a
lot of friends” by supporting the mosque, The Times seemed to differ....

The article also dismissed criticisms of the mosque, saying that the
“seemingly uncontroversial plan” to build an Islamic prayer center
near Ground Zero was “inflamed” by “conservative advocates” who have
previously “branded” moderate Muslims as “radical” and “jihadist.”

As evidence of this, the reporter compared the Ground Zero mosque
controversy to the public outrage against the principal of an
Arabic-only New York City public school in 2007.

Hellerstein has prevented a trial and effectively blocked any
discovery that would reveal what really happened on 9-11.

Hellerstein has a clear conflict of interest in the 9-11 tort
litigation because his son is a lawyer with Amit, Pollak & Matalon,
the law firm that works for and is closely connected with Cukierman &
Company, the parent company of ICTS. Cukierman & Co. is headed by
Roger Cukierman and his son Edouard. Previously, Roger was CEO of the
Edmond de Rothschild Group and chairman of the Israel General Bank.
He has also served as the chairman of several venture capital funds
established by the Rothschild Group. One of these funds, the Catalyst
Fund, is run by Boaz Harel, a managing partner of private equity at
Cukierman & Co. - and the head of ICTS at the time of 9-11. The
Rothschild/Cukierman Catalyst Fund is also invested in a company
called Cyalume, which is run by several of the SCP Partners of Ehud

scrawled their names in it. Half of them never came back from
Vietnam, never had children, grandchildren, got to finish college or
even high school. Many, maybe most, had never had sex, owned a car
or traveled more than 50 miles from home.

Their lives were stolen, stolen then and we are doing it every day,
maybe not the numbers, not on such a grand scale, but the lessons of
Vietnam have more than been forgotten. The brightest time in American
history, another “greatest generation” may well have been the one that
stopped an evil and corrupt war. That generation saw the cost. Only
the young, the young and the parents of those the war destroyed knew
Vietnam. America simply turned away, a nation of, do we call them, do
we call us, cowards? Is there another term?......................

Van Dam, a former lecturer in Middle Eastern history at Amsterdam
University, speaks fluent Arabic and Indonesian, and spent most of his
diplomatic career in Baghdad, Ankara, Cairo and Germany before coming
to Jakarta.

He has built a good relationship with moderate Indonesian Muslim
leaders and managed to tone down the resentment of Muslims here over
Wilders’s film Fitna.

Noted Muslim scholar Azyumardi Azra praised van Dam for significantly
improving diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands,
suggesting the Dutch government pay no heed to Wilders’s demand.

“I think he is the most successful Dutch ambassador to Indonesia,” he
said, acknowledging van Dam’s understanding of Islam and its
adherents.

The PTIQ is a higher educational institute under the supervision of
the ministries of national education and religious affairs. It was set
up by the late Indonesian tycoon Ibnu Sutowo and is currently led by
progressive Muslim thinker Nasaruddin Umar, who campaigned for gender
equality in Islam.

Azra said he was not surprised by Wilders’s statement, adding, “He’s a
Dutch anti-Islam politician, but he does not represent his country as
a whole.”

conclusion reached by Van Leeuwen is that these statements - plus the
fact that he dies his hair peroxide blond - are indeed related to his
genealogical link to the largest Islamic country. Geert Wilders'
increasing popularity made his Party for Freedom the second largest
Dutch party in European parliament in June. Known for his
anti-establishment and anti-immigration politics, Wilders has been
calling himself a 'Dutch freedom fighter'. But given that his mother's
roots lay outside of the Netherlands, Van Leeuwen says a sense of
'displacedness' is the recurring, underlying motive in his statements.
The 6-page article reveals that Wilders' grandmother, Johanna
Ording-Meijer, came from an old Jewish-Indonesian family and that
Wilders lied about this in his 2008 biography. However, Van Leeuwen,
an expert on the position of Indo-Dutch people in the post-colonial
age, goes beyond the notion that a politician known for judging others
on their ethnic roots can himself be traced to foreign ancestors. Van
Leeuwen went into the national archives to find the sad story of
Wilders' grandfather on his mother's side. Johan Ording was a regional
financial administrator in the Dutch colony who suffered several
bankruptcies and was fired while on leave in the Netherlands in 1934.
He was reduced to begging when the government refused to give him a
pension, but later made it to prison director. Van Leeuwen suggests
that Wilders is out to avenge the injustice done to his grandfather.
But more than anything, he was defined by his Indo-roots, she says.
Indonesia was a Dutch colony until 1949 and many mixed-race people
moved to the Netherlands after the Indonesian independence. Van
Leeuwen describes how these people were put in the same 'cultural
minority' box with labour immigrants from Turkey and Morocco, whom
they felt no connection to at all. More so, they had always felt very
patriotic about the Netherlands and harboured strong sentiments
against Islam, the dominant religion in their motherland. Van Leeuwen
explains how this group has long been part of extreme-right movements
(many supported the Dutch Nazi party NSB in Indonesia in the 1930s)
while others belonged to the far-right of the right-wing liberal party
VVD. She puts Wilders' statements in the conservative and colonial
tradition of this group, which strongly believed in patriotism and
"European values". Van Leeuwen's analysis goes beyond the personal
level: "The fact that Wilders obviously operates in a post-colonial
political dimension, without it being recognised, says a lot about how
the Netherlands dealt with, and still deals with the colonial past.
Keep quiet, deny, forget and look the other way have been the motto
for decades. Because of that, no one could imagine that what happened
in Indonesia 50 years ago could still have its impact on modern-day
politics." And the hair? Van Leeuwen says his died mop is a "political
symptom not taken serious enough". She thinks it was a brilliant move
to step away from his Indonesian roots and hide his post-colonial
revanchism. Although this may also be an example of his "classic Indo
identity alienation." Wilders has not responded to the publication.

role of an Israeli security firm, International Consultants on
Targeted Security (ICTS), in the failed attempt to detonate a bomb on
board Northwest Airlines Flight 253......

At the very least, these are curious coincidences, particularly given
the supposed expertise of the Israeli security services in identifying
and forestalling terrorist attacks. ICTS has had its personnel on the
scene in four of the most notorious terrorist attacks of the past
decade, and on each occasion, they failed to take action to stop the
terrorists....

In its 28 years of operation, ICTS has expanded to 22 countries,
servicing airports in France, Britain, Spain, Hungary, Romania and
Russia, and employing more than 11,000 security agents. It held
contracts at several US airports until after 9/11, when passenger
screening was taken out of private hands and assigned to the newly
created federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The silence on the role of ICTS is only the most curious aspect of a
more general shift by the media away from any reporting on the
background to the attempted bombing of Northwest Flight 253. There was
a noticeable turn away from an examination of the Christmas Day
incident even before the Haitian earthquake became—legitimately—the

The media’s failure to report the January 27 Congressional hearings on
last Christmas’s Flight 253 bomb plot is both extraordinary and
ominous. The hearings made the explosive revelation that US
intelligence agencies acted to help the bomber, Umar Farouk
Abdulmutallab, gain access to the plane. …

President Obama, congressmen and the media absurdly claimed that US
intelligence had not stopped the attack because it failed to “connect
the dots” between such pieces of information and realize that
Abdulmutallab in fact could pose a threat.......

The blackout is a devastating exposure of the state of US politics. If
events do not fit the concocted “connect-the-dots” script, the
political establishment treats them, in Orwellian style, as if they
had never happened. This, in turn, further strengthens the power of
the national-security apparatus inside the state, as it learns that it
can plan operations risking mass deaths with impunity.

Washington proceeds in this manner to advance fundamental state
interests: in protecting the “connect-the-dots” lie, it is trying to
shield the credibility of the entire so-called “war on

overseas reports that, as in Abdulmutallab’s case, the US had

Where was General Mahmoud on the morning of September 11, while Dubya
was in Florida reading upside down books?

Why, the good general just happened to be having breakfast with
Florida's senator, Bob Graham - our [former] esteemed chairman of the

Pakistan's ambassador to the U.S. Maleeha Lodhi. There were other

Don't you find it the least bit curious that so many darned bizarre
things get done in Florida, or in connection to Florida? After all, it

1) The purported 9-11 ringleader - Mohammed Atta - according to
ABC news, was financed by "unnamed sources in Pakistan." According to
Agence France Presse and the Times of India, an official Indian
intelligence report informs us that the 9-11 attacks were funded by
money wired to Mohammed Atta from Pakistan, by Ahmad Umar Sheikh,
under orders from Pakistani intelligence chief General Mahmoud Ahmad.
The report said: "The evidence we have supplied to the U.S. is of a

NEW YORK - The furor over the planned mosque and Islamic center near
ground zero has put Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf in a curious position: At
the same time he is being vilified in the U.S. for spearheading the
project, he is traveling the Mideast on a State Department mission as
a symbol of American religious freedom.

Some of the imam's American critics said they fear he is using the
taxpayer-funded trip to raise money and rally support in the Muslim
world for the mosque.

"I think there is no place for this," said the Rev. Franklin Graham,
who is the son of evangelist Billy Graham and opposes the Islamic
center and mosque. "Can you imagine if the State Department paid to
send me on a trip anywhere? The separation of church and state - the
critics would have been howling."

At his first event Friday in the Persian Gulf state of Bahrain, Rauf
refused to discuss the uproar over plans for the community center two
blocks from the World Trade Center site. State Department spokesman
P.J. Crowley has said Rauf understands that he cannot solicit funds
for the project on his 15-day tour.

The $100 million, 13-story project is modeled after the YMCA and
Jewish Community Center. Rauf and his wife, Daisy Khan, a co-leader of
the project, have a long record of interfaith outreach and insist the
center will promote moderate Islam.......

This winter, instead of the traditional story about a little orphaned
ice bear cub or cute little elephant baby, the world was fed a
different kind of story. For variation's sake, the cute animal tales
are sometimes replaced by some horror story. Just before last
Christmas, a carefully scripted charade was enacted by the combined
security services of the US and one of its European client states.
There is no need to retell the details of the Detroit incident
starring the "crotch bomber," or "underpants bomber," as the poor
Nigerian patsy is usually referred to. Anyone with a minimum of
intelligence should have immediately seen the story for what it is: a
scam.

In its efforts to institute the ultimate totalitarian state, the US
has taken yet another step. For some time now, the US government has
been looking for a justification to subject airline passengers to even
more humiliating security checks, forcing everyone to undergo full
body scanning. The Detroit charade was designed specifically for this
purpose. No sooner had the charade's main character been carried off
to some unknown destination, then the first round of lunatic new on
board security measures was announced. During the last hour of flight
before landing, passengers are no longer allowed to have anything in
their laps and are prohibited from visiting the lavatory. As if these
new rules had been designed beforehand and were put into effect at the
first opportunity.

One crucial detail is mostly left out of the Detroit charade story as
it is being handled by the mainstream media worldwide: at Amsterdam
airport, the "crotch bomber" boarded the US-bound flight without a
passport and without going through any security check. Instead, he was
escorted by a "well-dressed" gentleman who apparently had access to
the boss of the Israeli firm that handles security at Amsterdam. If
the same "well-dressed" gentleman would render this service to all
passengers, flying would certainly be a more pleasant experience than
it is for most of us at this moment.



In its sinister efforts, the US government is supported by the
governments of its vassal states. This time, a major role was assigned
to the Dutch government. The first Dutch actor to make a public
statement was the Minister of Justice, Ernst Hirsch Ballin. It is a
mystery how this man ever made it back to a cabinet position, after
being forced to resign in 1994 as justice minister for his involvement
in a billion dollar drug trafficking operation. The man is also
suspected of paedophilia. Moreover, the highest ranking public servant
in the justice ministry is a notorious paedophile. Hirsch Ballin
called for the immediate introduction of full body scanners at Dutch
airports. A few days later, Dutch interior minister, Mrs. Guusje ter

To call the bombing of a plane carrying 250 passengers a world
disaster is to scoff at the daily massacre of dozens of Iraqis and
Afghans that has been going on since 2001. Indeed, one either has to
be drunk, stupid or plain evil to ignore the genocide against Iraqis
and Afghans, a crime against humanity which the Dutch government fully
supports and even participates in. Apparently, for the Dutch
government, the life of an Iraqi or Afghan is worth less than the life
of a European or a US citizen. The fact that no one so far has chided
Mrs. Ter Horst, the "minister of alcoholic affairs" for her racist and
discriminatory remarks is yet more proof of the moral decrepitude of
the main stream media.

After the Dutch cabinet ministers had played their bit parts, the
leaders of other European vassal states came on stage. One after the
other, Germans, Italians and Englishmen gave their performance, with
the main stream media predictably spreading the message without any
accompanying critical editorial commentary. Thus within two weeks, the
European public has ostensibly been won over to support the
introduction of security measures that will make air travel an even
more miserable experience, and that will certainly not improve
security.

However, the fact that the Obama regime now has to rely on vassal
state officials with demonstrable criminal records an assorted deviant
behavior, is another indication that the US empire is in a deep
crisis. Nor does the support from the vassal states come
spontaneously. For instance, the chief explanation for the
obsequiousness of the Dutch seems to be blackmail. That is right,
blackmail. Mr. Joris Demmink, the justice ministry's director general,
is being blackmailed by the Turkish intelligence service at least

U.S. security agency says planned airport scanners no threat to personal privacy

Contrary to an earlier Haaretz report, Nigerian bomber Umar Farouk
Abdulmutallab did not buy his plane ticket at the last moment but
about a week before the flight. Several days after the failed attack
Dutch Interior Minister Guusje Ter Horst said the investigation
reached the conclusion that the entire system, including the security
companies involved, had functioned as they were supposed to and the
inspectors had had no reason to classify Abdulmutallab as dangerous.



Horst said it would have been impossible to carry out a full body
check on the terrorist due to right-to-privacy regulations.

Even now, after the Dutch government changed examination procedures at
Schiphol and said it would use full-body imaging equipment to check
passengers, invasive body examinations are still prohibited in The
Netherlands.

Haaretz has learned that about a third of the 300 passengers on the
flight from Amsterdam to Detroit were from the Middle East and a third
from Africa.

Security sources believe the terrorist chose an American flight
leaving from Amsterdam rather than from Africa after he or his
controllers obtained intelligence indicating they could find a
security breach at Schiphol. They assumed the prohibition on full body
checks at the airport would make it easier for them to carry out their
operation.

I-SEC is a subsidiary of the Israeli firm ICTS International, whose
shareholders include former Likud treasurer Menachem Atzmon and some
of whose senior executives, including Zicher, are also Israeli. I-SEC
and its subsidiary Pro-Check International provide security inspectors
for European flights from Schiphol and supervise the security
inspectors for flights to the United States and Israel

as if on cue, was all over the mainstream media touting whole-body
scanners as the answer to America’s airline security problems.

Since leaving public office in 2009, Chertoff had co-founded the
Chertoff Group, a security and risk-management firm whose clients
include a manufacturer of body-imaging screening machines. While some
in the media noted this rather commonplace conflict of interest,
ignored by all was a far more significant abuse of the American
public’s trust. In a CNN interview, Chertoff cited the Detroit
incident as “a very vivid lesson in the value of that machinery.” One
lesson that he hasn’t drawn, however, was about the unreliability of
the security firm which allowed the young Nigerian Muslim without a
passport to “slip through” Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport
