No the EDL is not declining, no matter how much you tell yourselves otherwise.

The EDL demo in London yesterday was attended by 300 because it was not a national demo. It was attended mostly by EDL supporters who live in, and close to, London. So if the EDL has 300 supporters in and around London then the EDL seems to not be finished.

We are here to stay, can't change that. The demo in Leicester showed this, as 2000 attended that one. What Leftist organisation today can claim to have as much success as the EDL has had? None of them.

If I was a UAF member I would be worried. The UAF are almost finished, it is dying as the EDL continues to rise.

I have been an activist for ten years on the "left" as you put it. I've been involved in campaigns ranging from just a dozen or so right through to a half a million. Some of these protests have been astoundingly effective.

A large part of this is due to what we call "solidarity" which means working with people of all races.

The edl have formed on the basis of protesting against people on the basis of race.

My experience tells me that the "cause" that the edl are engaged with, ensures that rampant failure is the inevitable end point of the edl.

It was doomed from the moment it began!

That you should try to compare the edl to the "left", as you put it, is lamentable.

I am one of the UK's most experienced campaigners and I can't see the edl as anything more than the BNP riding on the coat-tails of a movement much larger than itself. Its "cause" is spurious and little more than an attempt at modernisation of the old, and very tired, mantra of the National Front.

The edl is simply a belated and late arriving by-product of the success of the "left".

It has no further scope for expansion. Its already maxed-out. It has just a few months of its life left remaining before it dissolves into a wider movement being built to fight the cuts.

David Icke's writings are anti-Semitic. David Icke has declared that the Protocols of Zion "is evidence of a reptilian plot of Illuminati lizards" and that "Annunaki lizards, specifically, are from the lower fourth dimension." He says that people accusing him and his supporters of anti-Semitism are "defaming his character." An associate of David Icke an Austrian called Henrick said during an Icke tour : "There is full documentation that twenty reptilian races, including the Annunaki have interfaced, intermingled and interbred with the human race and are now controlling society from above. Geroge Bush is an Annunaki. The goat sucker or Goat Eater's are even found in Mexico. They are constantly battling for control of the fifteen dimensional portals. One is in Jerusalem."

The whole Annunaki aliens and lizards thing is metaphor for psychopathia.

The inability to fit into normal relationships, the obsession with "separating" away from others, the apparent ability to "change shape", having a need to "control" others, coagulating together into "privileged" groups, inability to empathise with others, propensity towards mindless violence, incoherent morality and dreadful anti-social tendencies are all themes touched upon in David Icke's books which in turn are drawn from a great many more texts published for many years by other, perhaps more careful, authors.

David Icke certainly isn't a "nutter" but his style of writing certainly isn't very elegant either. The lizards and aliens themes are a closed language that attempts to deal with the subject matter in a way that allows one to read about popular attitudes to this "group" in a less clinical way. Its more social commentary than clinical analysis.

I find David Icke's work engaging but very far from complete. The lizards and aliens are certainly a bit much for most readers but that's only because they are reading from a factual and literal point of view. They approach his work in a way a scientific professor would approach an essay or thesis. Its the same thing as somebody reading the bible or Quran and taking every paragraph and sentence as being literally the truth. This is typically psycopathic. All books should be read from the point of view of the author speaking in twin tongue's. There is the literal word, and there is the suggested meaning. That David Icke's work should be read by people who then expect to go out into the world and start seeing "lizard people" walking about the place is absurd. The work is not literal, and shouldn't be taken as such.
