Have you realised the people behind the hate-page are using propaganda (a practice used by the same affiliation they seem to be using as an insensitive label?) to ruin the reputation of not only an individual but all associated with him?

Apparently ruining the reputation of a band who merely wrote music with no political agenda or malice and spreading sensationalist rumours is completely justified.

The best thing for traumatised kids who have had to flee oppression is to be woken in the early morning by a bunch of uniformed thugs come to take their dad away, or even them along with dad and mum. Would you agree with that?
The fact that there are lots of people willing to do it doesn't make it right.
It seems you were wrong about the band never claiming to be punk - because on their myspace page they bill themselves as "a progressive punk rock band from Cardiff"
You're also wrong about opposing POVs being censored - its abuse that isn't welcome.
So, if you want a civil conversation as you keep insisting one of the family members requested, then practice what you preach.
There is nothing progressive about breaking up families in dawn raids and sending people back to oppressive situations, regardless of whether some arsehole says its legal or not.

Half of you are in your 40s and should know better (for starters) than to TRY and tarnish a good person and bands reputation without knowing him and the actual facts.
Also, if you feel the need to constantly label yourselves as something, may i suggest thugs rather than punk - as you are giving it a VERY bad name (like Nicky has apparently done)

The reason why Nicky may be attracting such hate is because he has been seen as part of a team who are enforcing, in a brutal way, the forced removal of a mother and her children from their home. Further reasons he is attracting so much hate is because he is a person who has previously shown support for anarchist causes, he is fan of anarcho punk bands and he is in band people were led to believe were progressive. It makes total sense there has been such anger. It shows that Nicky must have never had any real understanding of the politics of some of the bands he has tattoed on himself- if he did then he would know that a belief in freedom, justice and equality can not go hand in hand with working for the UKBA. Their system can never be fair- the reasons people move around are multitude and the history of the reason people wish to move goes back hundreds of years, due to imperialism, slavery, wars- they are here because we were there.
Apart from this the UKBA detain children, pregnant women, people who have been tortured, raped, people who are ill. People have died during and after being deported. Children are woken up at dawn by the UKBA and put into vans.People are restrained, beaten, handcuffed on planes to force them to fly. By defending Nicky you defend this. This is happening in your city, it is not propaganda.
Someone has asked that if it so bad in the UK then why do they want to stay here? Because where they have left is so much worse.
The so-called hate campaign against Nicky has has not detracted in any way from the support campaign for the family, but merely reflected its passion and determination.
So yes, fuck you Nicky. You deserve nothing but hate. You are not the only one, but you are one that we know. So this is why you have your own hate campaign.

My view is that the UKBA and Nicky have deported a family with children. This is how it happened:
They do this all the time...in fact, that makes up the bulk of their daily work.
This is what the UKBA do, its why they exist.
While they do this, they prevent people as much as possible from recording their activity because they know its wrong. They assume that the public are always to blame for their own misfortune but they never include themselves in this. Most of them are bent and habitually dishonest. Indeed, these are the qualities the UKBA are looking for in those they recruit. As a recruit, you must by malable, easily led and very impressionable. Intelligent and educated people cannot do this work because they understand that government departments like the UKBA are the result of failed policy, failed political parties and failed media campaigns to demonise immigrants in the UK.
Political parties want these people in the UK because they facilitate cheap labor for business and industry but they also want to ensure that their friends in the tabloid press can paint them as being 'tough' on immigration because this appeals to the badly educated zenophobic voter, which is prettly much all the mainstream political parties have access to these days. Intelligent people avoid any interaction with this at all because it is morally wrong as well as politically wrong.
The UKBA are the dregs from the streets. They are nothing more than the cheap and badly educated trash you pick up from the street to make the policy stick in place so you have a manageable immigration policy, it doesn't need to be effective, it just needs to be executable and displayable in public.
This family were not terrorists as you well know and it is frankly disgusting that you would try to tar them with somebody else brush. That is truly despicable of you to do this. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I personally feel bad for the family, and it sucks.
However I do not feel bad for terrorists who are a threat to people in this country.
