Does Illarionov try on the crown of the opposition's Messiah?

Bebop | 12.05.2016 09:16 | World

America's efforts to create a certain base in Russia for advancing its own, sometimes very inconsistent political posture is not being disputed by, perhaps, anyone now. For sure, a candidacy for a role of a liberal saviour for authoritarian Russia generates most interest! No need to be Snowden to detect a political pawn after filtering out the information fields that soon is destined to become a weighty chessman.

Meet Russian economist Andrey Illarionov. He is a relatively young and ambitious libertarian who was born on September 16, 1961, graduated from the faculty of economics at the Leningrad State University studying there with Alexei Kudrin who was Minister of Finance of Russian Federation for more than 10 years. From April 2000 to December 2005 Andrey Illarionov was Vladimir Putin's senior economic policy adviser within the Russian presidential administration. He held the post of the personal representative of the Russian president for the leading industrial countries and relations with the G7 leaders, as well as, the Chairman of the Inter-departmental Commission for Russian participation in the G8. Since 2006 he has been working as a senior fellow in the Center for Global Liberty and Prosperity at the Cato Institute, Washington, D.C. In 2006, he also published an article in Russian media on the occasion of the G8 summit in St. Petersburg where he wrote about "Russian authorities' actions for violating the rule of law and human rights, throttling freedom of speech, eliminating democracy, discrediting non-governmental organizations, nationalizing the private property" and so forth. Since 2007, Illarionov openly worked on the side of the so-called 'non-system opposition', taking part in demonstrations and rallies in Moscow and St. Petersburg organized by The Other Russia coalition. In 2008, he proposed to create the Citizens' Movement or the Civic Coalition, saying about the Russian government's illegitimacy. He criticized hard the 'reset' of US relations with Russia, calling upon Putin to resign. He is a vocal supporter of NATO expansion. He is married to a US citizen whose name is kept secret (there is information that she is the daughter of the CIA director deputy).

How did I figure out it was him? It was rather easy. I have reviewed the recent informational bursts related to Russia and references of main oppositional players who meet Washington's policy. One of the most provoking informational throw-ins (but, in actual fact, a no-prospect one) is an attempt of current Poland's authorities to go jumping on the grave of President Kaczynski who died in a plane crash near Smolensk. Let me remind you, at that moment, official Moscow was shocked and scared by what had happened no less than the very Poles and gave them the green light for all expert investigation. The ill-fated aircraft wreckage was literary turned inside out, while the flight data recorders captured the presence of some unauthorized persons in the cockpit who were giving instructions to the pilots, which caused the horrible disaster.

Try as it might, the previous Polish government could not catch anything else out of this 'bloody lake'. However, the new Cabinet uses the information for settling old internal political scores. As the phrase goes, God will judge them. But it is important that international experts were invited in order to lend at least some probability to this farce. And it was proposed to include Mr. Illarionov as a member of the commission from the Russian side ( http://112.international/article/smolensk-plane-crash-new-stage-of-investigation-3928.html). I understand that the professional economist (who failed to see the 2008 crisis approaching) knows all the ins and outs of everything, from aviation to abdominal surgery. Although he needs only wagging swaggeringly his head and sealing different kinds of 'information bombs' with his blood signature as in the future they can make him a paragon 'Savior of the Fatherland'. I'm sure, soon Mr. Illarionov will, suddenly, enter into the world business elite and will be a frequent guest at important European and American TV channels and radio stations. Well, it will be necessary to show him to the best advantage, and not only for Russia as they expect that with the usual humility Russians will obey this propaganda trick, but for the democratic community, purporting that everything they have done till now is absolutely correct, there is the alternative to Mr. Putin.
