NEW OCCUPIED SOCIAL CENTRE IN CAMBRIDGE!

Anti-Capitalist Action | 13.10.2002 13:31 | Cambridge

Cambridge anti-capitalists have liberated a new space, the second to bear the name 'Number Zero'.

NEW OCCUPIED SOCIAL CENTRE IN CAMBRIDGE!
NEW OCCUPIED SOCIAL CENTRE IN CAMBRIDGE!

Number Zero, in its second incarnation, is currently residing at 53 Castle Street, up Huntingdon Road and across from the Cambridge City Council. The situation is currently stable, as we have reached an agreement with the owner, but the police still turn up occasionally for some state-sanctioned intimidation.

Number Zero is a non-hierarchical social centre space open to the public for all sorts of activities. We have been running a bar, cafeteria with dinner every night, tea and coffee. We also have a small but growing library, which is a comfortable space to sit and read. Anticipated events include a variety of workshops and an exhibition of photos from occupied Palestine.

We strongly encourage all those interested to stop by!
