Camapigners - joined by Rhythms of Resistance - are again fighting plans for a giant virus containment facility - which will house deadly viruses and thousands of aniamls on a Camden council estate. Mike Greene - the planning chief for Camden - had ruled out the lab...however talks between the DCMS / MRC / and Dept for Innovation, Universities and Skills have been taking palce behind closed doors.
Thousands of people have been signing petitions, both paper and online and protesting. During a meeting at Camden Town Hall -in front of witnesses [as confirmed by Camden New Journal - camapigners were promised.."No Lab".
The area is severly deprived and desperately needs council homes, youth facilities, sports and community facilities.
