Picket outside the Japanese embassy.

nk | 06.07.2008 19:25 | London

On Friday 4th of July a few people gathered outside the Japanese embassy from noon to about 3pm to protest this Country's host (and participation) in the Group of 8.

As usual a few barriers were put on the pavement opposite and protesters were only allowed there, making sure they would stay well away from the embassy.

Newspapers explaining the politics of the G8 (specially the migration policies) were handed out until about 3pm.

There were about two or three policemen for each protester and of course the FIT paid a visit and took pictures and “intelligence” of every one gathered.

More motorists than expected tooted from their cars in support. Passers by also showed support in different degrees.
