Noborder Action Bulgaria - Greece

Yesterday the three day noborder camp in Klutsch, Bulgaria, finished with a collective border crossing to Greece.
Thereby long delays happened because of the Bulgarian border police, who searched 2 cars for hours.
Today the greek part of the “Noborder Action Days” started with an antirascist demonstration in Xanthi.

G8 Defendent & Prisoner Solidarity

During the G8 protests across Scotland the police arrested and imprisoned around 354 people. Almost two hundred people are due to have trials in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Stirling and Falkirk following the G8. Court cases have already started and more are due in the next few weeks. One person are still on remand.

Strathclyde Police Slumber Party

[Disclaimer: I have tried to make light of last week's experience in Strathclyde Police cells but this in no way reflects the serious torment I, and my fellow G8 protestor detainees experienced. I wrote the following as my clown whilst actually in the cells and the act of writing was therapeutic for me during an intensely dehumanising experience.]

On the weekend of July 8th through July 11th, I was a very lucky clown as I was invited to the Strathclyde Police Slumber Party!

Support Mehment Tarhan, gay Turkish Conscientious Objector on trial on 12 July

Turkish gay conscientious objector Mehmet Tarhan is back on trial on 12 July. He has been threatened, humiliated and tortured by other prisoners in the military prison of Sivas, where he's been since 8 April. He went on trial on 9 June, the judge realeased but he was rearrested and put bakc in prison

Resist train returns safely to Kings Cross

We've just heard that the South East Assembly Resist train has returned safely from the G8 protests. The train set off at 11.47am this morning - there were some 40 cops there to greet the London-bound protesters, a couple of stop and searches took place before anarchists waved goodbye to the police.
