Jessica & Favour Edebiri -another attempt to remove them

John O | 10.08.2007 05:12 | Migration | Social Struggles | Workers' Movements | Birmingham

Jessica at the moment is spiraling into despair, unable despite many attempts, to find a solicitor who will try to reopen her case.

"I Jessica Edebiri am presently at Yarl's Wood IRC. I am very ill and depressed. I am depressed because I have no one to go to in Nigeria because the woman who brought me to UK for trafficking (prostitution) would kill me and my little child. I have no relative to rescue me from the woman when she get hold of (me) in my own country of origin.

"My hypertension and anaemia is not improving at all. My condition of illness is not being controlled, I am not responding to treatment. And I am still on my medication with 67 tablets still left on my three types of medication prescribed by the doctor at Yarl's Wood Immigration Centre. I won't be able to get on the air flight."

A new removal date has been set for this Saturday. The campaign has updated the attached model letters and ask supporters to focus on Virgin Nigeria Airways.

Jessica's church congregation have been fighting to keep Jessica and Favour in Horbury since May last year.
