Foie Gras Removed From Two Restaurants In One Day

Foie Gras Free Brum | 04.07.2008 19:55 | Animal Liberation | Birmingham

The Bucklemaker & Turners restaurant remove fois gras.Making it the 7th and 8th Birmingham restaurants to follow suit.

Turners:

After a short (and 1st) demo at Turners restaurant they decided, after a chat with activists,to remove foie gras from their menu. The chefs through the demo were verbally threatening and,as expected, called the police for "help". Realising what a nusiance it would be to have the truth right outside their restaurant door. The chef himself erased foie gras from their outside menu display, as we continued the demo, till he stated he wud never sell foie gras again.

The Bucklemaker:

Straight after the demo outside of Turners,we headed to the Bucklemaker. And to our surprise the chef was waiting, and heard of the success at Turners, and vowed never to sell foie gras again. This after only two demonstrations outside of their establishment.
