Al Jazeera the hostile enemy

Israeli officials said they plan to make it harder for the Arabic television network al-Jazeera to operate in Israel and the West Bank. Media reports said Israel will not renew the work visas of some Israeli-based al-Jazeera employees, and that the network's reporters will have less access to news conferences and briefings. They hold monthly meetings of a non-technical nature on a range of intersting issues.

An article I wrote for Big Issue in the North recently on Liverpool's "slash and burn" approach to regeneration triggered a furious response from the council.
