Localised Critical Mass

Subcommandante Ned | 19.09.2006 10:08 | Ecology

How about more Local critical mass?

I am a grat believer in the concept of critical mass but can very rarely commit to the Lenton/city centre gathering. This is because of having small kids and busy work schedule.

I would love a more localised approach. Is anyone else interested in having a CM in Beeston/Broxtowe? Possibly others would like it to be in Rushcliffe, Gedling boroughs, etc.

I feel more knowledgeable about the traffic issues in my local area and feel more able to effect change here.

Any feedback would be welcome, even set a date someone!!

sounds great, theres afew infrequent crital mass people from rushcliffe area & afew from broxtowe. I reckon you will have to put a notice somewhere radical like the Sumac club.

Maybe though critcal mass could go from lenton to Rushcliffe & along Loughborough rd or along university blvd to beeston?

I would be up for that though personally I live near the city so Lenton's local & hope one day soon all the critical masses aim for the M1 & gridlock London before helping bringing down corporate fascism!

timing

if you try organising a critical mass on a different day than the Lenton/City one that would be good.

I'd be up for trying to make it over to wherever depending on business/tiredness that day.

p.s. remember that the bike workshop at ASBO is available as a resource.

good idea, but...

good idea, as long as it doesn't mean that we have several different critical masses that can't get enough people along. i'd be happy to turn up to a few every month but i'm sure not everyone would!
