On Saturday, 11 November, we intend to gather outside the Armed Forces Recruitment Centre in Milton Street (by the Clock Tower at the side entrance of the Victoria Centre) at 10:30am to be ready at 11:00am (the actual anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War) to read out the names of the more than 100 British soldiers who have died in Iraq.
We will also be remembering the more than 600,000 Iraqis who have died as a result of the conflict.
We will have a coffin-shaped placard with the name of each dead member of the forces. We do not know the names of the Iraqi dead.
This is not designed to clash with the official Remembrance Day events, which are to be held at 11am on Sunday.
Please join us if you can.
