What is the WSF for? Is it just a talking shop, or is it part of the wider resistance to neoliberal capitalism? What is the future of the WSF - and the social forum process more generally?
The Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice (CSSGJ) based in the School of Politics and IR, Nottingham University will be hosting a roundtable on the recent World Social Forum held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Roundtable will include contributions by Simon Tormey, Director of CSSGJ and author of "Anti-Capitalism: A Beginner's Guide", Andreas Bieler, author of numerous works examining the nature of social struggles against neoliberalism, and Adam Morton, author of "Unravelling Gramsci".
The event takes place at the usual time for CSSGJ seminars - 5-6.30pm on Monday 26 February in the Delta Suite of the University Staff Club Main Campus.
There will also be a book launch to mark the publication of work by the three panellists.
CSSGJ events are free and open to all - please join us!
