GeishaSamuraiNinja stall&info to support wknd against G8 Japan,saturday2-3pm

Aikido Mitsi, Universal Brigade | 03.07.2008 16:33 | G8 Japan 2008 | Globalisation

Geisha girls& boys welcome, if you have any Japanese geisha or ninja-samurai fancy dress clothing bring it, though keep your swords at home & enjoy music including infernal noise brigade benefit CD from Sumac G8 benefit night. Afterwards visit Viva for some lovely Vegan food & entertainment,Burlesque after at the Maze club which is also supporting the campaign against the nazi Red white & blue, then next day Salsa!

The next day is Cuba solidarity day garden party at the the friends meeting house with Cuban music, food & salsa 12-4pm, open to all supporters at the Friends Meeting house, clarendon st behind nottingham trent uni turn left before the cemetery via the tramline.
On saturday is the cooperative latin american day 10am-4.30 with talks on renewable energy in Peru & cooperatives in Argentina & Veneuzela also at Friends meeting house, though booking for this is us .To go to future events like this booking is essential. Cooperatives UK community fund has supported the Sumac centre, is interesting & worth getting involved with. International Cooperatives alliance are not perfect like any organisation though they have & do support transition town initiatives since their starting in Yorkshire & they readily supported the fight against fascism starting with the Spanish civil war. Sumac & other small cooperatives are affiliated to ICA & financially together we are big enough be allowed into the G8 to help make a cooperative world really happen

No G8!
No G8!

It would be useful if 'syndicalists' by any other name, were to compose their postings carefully and re-read them before hitting the 'contribute' button. Consider writing in another application like notepad, before submitting articles for others to (try to) read. Clear spacing between different items, and references to other sources of info would help, in particular who, what, where, when, why

The G8 Gathering is taking place from July 7th to 9th in Hokkaido Japan. Speakers from the anti-globalisation movement in Japan, visiting Nottingham's Sumac Centre in February, pointed out that Japan is the only Asian participant in the G8 and is pushing corporate interests throughout the region, whereby just 8 counties with 14% of world's population seek to control the entire global economy through high consumerism and state control.
