Iraq War Funding- Bush Pressuring Democrats

The Democrats are now within one year before the 2008 General Election and since the 2006 Mid-Term Election the Democrats have done nothing to fulfill the promises they made to the American people to bring our troops back home. Instead the Democrats have given Bush more money to expand his war and brave soldiers continue to die in a war that began with a lie.

The Plight of American Veterans

Socialist Party USA, and Peace and Freedom Party are asking all U.S. veterans to join their efforts to obtain more for U.S. veterans and to end the Iraq War. The two political parties are also demanding an immediate withdrawal of all U.S. and allied forces from Iraq and Afghanistan. From Dungavel to Death in Iraq: Remember Solyman Rashed

Solyman Rashed was killed in Iraq on 3rd September, two weeks after being deported. There will be a vigil to remember him in George Square, Glasgow, this Thursday from 5.30 to 6.30pm.
It is an open vigil and the organisers encourage anyone to attend.

Peace and Freedom Party War Protestor Arrested

Yesterday John Reiger, a member of Peace and Freedom Party, was among ten war protestors that were arrested at the office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui in Sacramento California. The protestors were part of a nationwide movement of anti-war protestors that oppose the Iraq war and congressional support for the war.
