Scottish Police Attack Sensationalist Press Over G8 Taser Gun Deployment


Chief Constable David Strang, President of the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland, and Tayside Police Chief Constable John Vine, the officer in charge of policing the summit, have both denied that Taser guns will be deployed against G8 protestors and have attacked the press for being sensationalist, accusing The Scotsman of a "dangerous form of journalism".

Accident in Sellafield

According to Radio Z, quoting The Guardian and The Times a part of the Sellafield nuclear plant had to be shut down after a acident.
200 t of highly deadly plutonium have leaked out of a pipeline.
The level for plutonium to be deadly is said to be in the area of milligrams.
Tis news come at a time when the British government is planing to expand the nuclear programm.

Sowing the Seeds of Dictatorship

An excellent, well-researched overview of current intellectual property laws as they relate to agriculture in Scotland and India. Farmers in both countries are coming under attack from huge agricultural multinationals that are trying to make it illegal to follow the normal farming practice of saving seed for next year's crop.

Convoy - Messages to DEFRA
