Tower Hamlets Council's transfer of Council housing stock was done under dubious
promises. One promise Tower Hamlets Council made was that tenants, residents would enjoy the same rights when their homes were taken over by the "social landlords" as they had enjoyed under Council control.
This evening, Tuesday 07 May 2013, residents at the Trahorn Close, near Vallance Road, are rallying to question Tower Hamlets Council's pledge.
They have already petitioned the Borough’s “executive Mayor” Lutfur Rahman demanding action over the “social landlord” outfit’s behaviour.

This is an exhibition of more than fifty pieces of children's artwork “some funny, some tragic, many beautiful” collected by Rod Cox during a visit to Gaza with the Aid Convoy early in 2009 in the wake of Operation Cast Lead, a sustained attack by Israel which, according to Red Crescent spokesperson Dr. Khalil Abu Foul, "did not just have 1500 killed, or 5000 wounded. It has traumatised the entire population, all 1.5 million." The exhibition is going to be in Wrexham for the next few weeks, starting with the Cathedral until 17 May.

On 24 April more than 300 workers were crushed to death in a collapsing factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The factory made clothes for high street chains including Primark, Matalan, Benetton, and Mango. Just another "accident" in the race for profits. Those responsible for these deaths are in London and in towns across the UK, we need to hold them to account.
