All the contradictions of America's white supremacist history converge on
November 4, when a society drenched in racism tries to figure out which of
its "selves" will pull the lever. Lots of whites seem to be profoundly
confused. "A recent poll indicated that many white people, including some
who claim to support Obama, continue to hold very negative opinions about
black people, often viewing them as `violent,' and `complaining.'" But Obama
solves the problem, since his "refusal to directly address the needs of
black people is also appealing to white people." Other whites are more

Freedom Not Fear - Anti-surveillance Day Sat 11th October - Scotland Yard

In London: Assemble 1pm at New Scotland Yard, with pots, pans and other stuff to make some noise!!

A broad movement of campaigners and organizations is calling on everybody to join action against excessive surveillance by governments and businesses. On 11 October 2008, concerned people in many countries will take to the streets, the motto being "Freedom not fear 2008". Creative action, from protest marches to parties, will take place in many capital cities.

Al Quds Day March in London meets opposition

Several thousand demonstrators marched through London on Sunday 28 September to celebrate Al Quds (Jerusalem) Day and support oppressed people across the world and particularly the Lebanese and Palestinian people. Counter-demonstrators gathered at Piccadilly Circus to oppose the march.
