Dear all, as you may or may not have heard, Cafe Afrika has recently been refused a renewal of its public entertainment licence. This means that as of today there will no longer be any live music at the Cafe. I am sending this mail to ask for your support in writing to Councillor Jennifer Liddle, Jennifer at jsquared.co.uk to ask for the licence to be renewed. Tonight at Cafe Afrika local people gathered to discuss the options for the venue in the wake of the City Council decision to revoke their entertainments license. Over 200 signatures have already been collected on a petition against this unreasonable action...pop down there and sign it yourself to support one of the few remaining independent music venues in Cambridge.No more music at Cafe Afrika?
