Call for short film submissions for Edinburgh Fringe

Cowgate Central are looking for interesting short films to show at the Fringe on the big screen. Submissions from all genres are welcome, I attach a form for folk who are interested. Get your work seen at the largest arts fest in the world! Deadline 15 May, and we'll need a copy of the work submitted (watchable on VHS or a computer).

Salonika 7 Hunger Strike: Solidarity Action

Seven people arrested last June during the anti-EU Summit demonstrations in Thessaloniki, Greece, are still in prison awaiting trial. Five on them have been on hunger strike for over 41 days and are currently hospitalized in critical condition. A solidarity action has been taking place in Edinburgh since Monday 17th November

Contributors are being sought for a film about the last six or seven years worth of campaigning against the introduction of genetically modified crops. If you have video footage of demonstrations, protests, office occupations or direct action, please let us know. We are also seeking people who have a specific personal involvement in the campaign in some way and are willing to be interviewed for the film.

Hunger Strike of the Salonika 7: News about the Prisoners of the Greek Presidenc

Seven of the demonstrators arrested last June during the mobilisations against the EU Summit in Thessaloniki, Greece, are still in Diavata prison awaiting trial.
Five of the prisoners are currently on hunger strike protesting against the circumstances of their arrest and imprisonment. Solidarity Actions are Urgently Needed!
