G8 Police get it wrong --- YET AGAIN !!!

Edinburgh yesterday saw the latest in a series of failed prosecutions of G8 cases when G. E. was acquitted of some of the most serious trumped-up charges so far. The antiquated law of “mobbing and rioting” was rolled out on this occasion, with the accusation that G. had been involved in police assault and incitement to riot. The charge carries with it a maximum 5-year prison sentence.

The US and European governments dare to deny this smoking-gun photographic evidence that:
1.--The CIA has been sneaking its prisoners in and out of Europe on cargo transport planes.
2.--CIA and foreign spy agencies work out of the same office (CTIC) in 31 countries.
3.--USA and European Union have an agreement for torture flights. Here is last copy left on the Web.
4.--Here are key passages of USA - EU torture pact. Here's how to download the rest.

Scottish judicial coverups : from Al Megrahi to McKie

I happened to spend a couple of months in the Holiday Inn in Utrecht when the Lockerbie trial happened in Den Haag. Lots of lawyers and witnesses stayed there too and would talk about the case amongst themselves at the bar at night. I have good ears and good kidneys so I followed the trial from the bar. Noone seemed to either believe the Libyan accused were guilty or even that the trial would be allowed to run its course without being abandoned. However, a conviction was secured and Abdel Baset Al Megrahi still rots in Barlinnie prison. A unrelated case involving a coverup at the Scottish Criminal Records Office framing a cop was probably condoned from on high to help preserve the shakey conviction of Al Megrahi. Any conviction involving fingerprint evidence in Scotland should be appealled and ministers must be held accountable for this ongoing coverup.

Pictures of Dalkeith Park Top Site Eviction

middle camp: still intact Here some pictures of the eviction of the top site. There are four sites in total with tree houses and tunnels. The eviction is anticipated to last about two weeks and cost £1.4m. The route of the new road leads directly through the Dalkeith Country Park, a site of specific scientific intrest, and home to herds of sheep, cows, and over 100 horses grazing there on wide fields. It is also part of the Edinburgh Green Belt and inhabitants of the park include deer, bats, birds, foxes and other wild anilmals. It is also used as a recreation area for people from alkeith and Edinburgh, and has an enormous adventure playground, folleys and old houses in the Park.
A lot of people cycle, do walking and train their dogs in the park, too.
Dalkeith town is crossed by the A68 leading to Jedburgh and the Borders.

New Home Office Scheme Against Asylum Seekers

The Home Office has cynically introduced a new scheme in an attempt to remove asylum seekers. Instead of the 'stick' of using enforced poverty and destitution against people seeking asylum in the UK, the Home Office has started using 'carrots' - offering asylum seekers bribes to give up their claims. But the scheme does not guarantee safety - or that anyone taking up the 'incentive' will actually get any money.
