and the police will have a hard time getting to any specific spot. Meeting at 2 or 3 initial spots, then mass marching in all directions with groups of a hundred or so stopping and staying at intersections untill all corners are secured as far as one can see, will not only freeze a city, but with messengers from each corner running to the next four corners will allow for jamming communication and mobility; whereas if theres a strong police presence at a particular place five people from each intersection within 10 blocks can move towards hotspots or move to intercept police movement within minutes, groups can move from spots deemed no longer neccesary etc... 100 intersections blocked
would pretty much shut down any city.
Monitoring police communications is also a must, and with the relay system, the information can be passed over great distances quickly. Cops are morons, and anyone should be embarrased to be out smarted by them.

I think that is an *excellent* idea. A more decentralised protest is definately a good plan. I attended the MayDay protest in London, and am furious at having my right to peaceful protest denied to me. I was not acting violently in _any way_ and had no intention to either, yet I was locked in between two streets for two hours without food, shelter, or water, in the rain, and the corralled around London streets for a further six hours- all while being chased by riot police with batons and tear gas.

I suggest you contact as many different groups as you can and tell them your good suggestion.

I thought of the same type of strategy in Philadelphia, but by then my entire affinity was arrested except me (I was to join them a few hours later) we definitely need to focus on dozens of fronts rather than all going to one predictable situation where the cops will be waiting for us and itching to fight. Though this strategy requires a lot of initial planning, once it gets rolling it should be easy to understand and operate. Communication is the key to this strategy. Cops may be reluctant to divide up into small groups and chase superior numbers through alleys.....

Yep good idea, another idea is to keep moving . don't let police gain the initiative .other day we lost the initiative by staying still and then police consolidated their hold... look at how the group with the wombles really fucked police up by moving..

Monitoring police won't work they got a bit of encryption going on-- we need to jam it far eaiser to do.

in the states, i believe the fcc would be ontoo one with the quickness for jamming any police signals. The police can also just switch to alternative channels, and what if they are actually needed to respond to something real (do they perform no viable services to the community at large)?
