The mainstream media lie about everything, in fact, they only interview well rehearsed liars, like Councillor Tom Franklin who stood in front of a Sky News Camera claiming he had been at the Brixton Riot on Friday, and the people present were ALL criminals, intent on destruction and violence.

Then a Community Leader of mixed-race, came into the frame and said to Tom Franklin, "you liar, your lying, you weren't there, I was there, I never saw you..." The Councillor made a quick embarrassed exit.

The Community Leader went on to tell Sky News the truth, that there had been 50 ordinary people at the protest, there because they are tired of the police brutality and intimidation in their neighbourhood, which resulted in Derek Bennet, a Rasta, being shot six tims, for carrying a lighter.

Suggestion for people like myself, who unfortunately could not make this protest. Why not try something that my 15-year-old son and I have been doing all day. We have been collecting latest news and photos and printing them out on our printer, then cycling round our town sticking up posters in places like railway stations, phone boxes in busy locations, and on the advert space above the cash machines in our large shopping centres here in the U.K. Each poster has a link to the Indymedia site. Try it we had a load of fun :)
Don’t worry if you feel that your artistic skills are up to it, these posters like the one above are an excellent source of information with the all important links. We need to help ourselves in this historic struggle, be part of it, JUST DO IT :)

Tony Blair said, a few hard line extremists, hell bent on causing destruction and 'hurting police' could not be allowed to stop meetings of 'democratically' elected leaders. I wouldn't call 100,000 people a few...and that's not even including the 500,000,000 sitting at home who couldn't possibly travel to Genoa, but were in complete solidarity with the demonstration, also many were prevented from crossing the border.

Bob Geldof, after brown-nosing the KGB man responsible for genocide in Chechnya, said, a few hard-nuts can start the violence, it's for the thrill of it, like football hooligans...So Bob obviously wasn't there, or didn't have a good view of police tear gas, battons, water-cannon and live ammo, from the G8 luxury cruise liner.
