Only thing wrong with this article is that he doesn't go on longer, the whole of central america is a yankee colony, as is much of the world .. nice one john ...

With the recent attack on the WTC and Pentagon, the price of U.S. hegemony just skyrocketed as the cost of (and demand for) an anti-terrorist policy right here at home will, when enacted, siphon off considerable public funds; the key of which will be those shrinking allocations towards Ballistic Missile Defense programs. I don't think this point will be missed by China, Russia, India, and Pakistan, who could use a timeout in the escalating arms race reincarnated by BMD and its variants. Retaliation is a powerful motive and, in light of John Pilger's article, a probable one, however, if an alliance of some subset of the G-15 needed a pretext to effect their own foreign policy with respect to curbing U.S. power and non-compliance of U.N. resolutions, a "Bin Laden" terrorist campaign conjures up an eerie resemblance to many a CIA-sponsored pretext that Chomsky and others have made all too clear. The model seems to work. And in this case, even the G-7 net of the U.S./Anglo component stand to gain if one believes in nuclear parity. Only now the human tragedy is illuminated from both ends.

You're a crackpot John

John, you really need to do something more productive with your life. Journalism should be based on objectivity, which you show no signs of. You take the same side in every argument, which shows your lack of objectivity. Is someone really supposed to believe your side of everything, when other respected journalists covering the same wars and issues as you do are giving completely different answers? People much smarter than you (of which there are many) take the opposite side on many if not all of your points. I'll tell you what this article is good for though. I can print it out, wipe my ass with it, and flush it down the John Pilger.

I am unconviced by your tirade. You feel that U.S. fighting wars with civilian casualties is wrong, yet, the people who declared war on us by specifically aiming at civilian casualties are justified.

You therefore apply a different standard to us and them, and are not an objective source.

BULLY BOY

05.04.2002 02:09

The good old USA reminds me of the bully boys in any school in the UK or elswhwere for that mater, it's the case of do what i say or look out, it seems that the world preceives the USA has the greatest power on earth , and not the biggest terrorist on the earth, there is a good chance that if the good old USA hadn't gone around the world for the last 50 yrs maiming and killing millions of people then there is a good chance that there would be not anyone trying to exact their revenge on the people of USA.
The usa remoinds me of HITLER they are are also trying to rule the world by pretending to be savoiurs of the free world , FREE they couldn't spell the word and as far as terrism is concerned the usa is the main sponser of terrorism throught every corner of the globe, becase you can bet you life if there is trouble anywhere in the world the good old USA is somewhere lurking in the shadows , and as for britain then have we forgot about NORTHERN IRELAND it seems we have because we give the terrorists places in GOVERNMENT NOW AND ALL THAT GOES WITH IT so when other countrys can see that other groups can bomb they way into government then they think why not it works for them why not us, THE IDIOT PRESIDENT BUSH is like is father before him power mad and they cannot continue to carry on thinking they can do what they want when they want throughout the so called free world
