YOU CAN STOP THE WAR: A MILLION VOICES

PREVENTIONIST DEBORAH DUPRE' WHEELER Live In | 21.10.2001 08:38

Preventionist Dupre' Wheeler of LIVE!, a Pacific Island Prevention of Violence Against Self and Others Programme and co-author of "Before Hitting Bottom" in which the 'War Against Drugs' myth is dispelled (available at djmckay@free2air.com.au) presents a petition urging IMMEDIATE UN Security Council Action to enact International Law, stop the violence and restore peace. Included are each UN representative contact details including FAX numbers PLUS Columbia Univ. and GSN EMAIL ADDRESSES to use to ensure delivery of petitions, to count signatures and publish the sums.

You Can Stop the War: One Million Voices Preventionist Deborah Dupre' Wheeler Live In Vanuatu Everyday! (LIVE!) duprevent@sos.com.vu Personal Letter/Petition for IMMEDIATE UN Security Council Action through International Law Instructions: The United Nations Security Council has the power to halt military aggression and replace it with enforced International Law to restore peace and justice. Help facilitate this action now. Use the letter below for your personal letter or for a petition to FAX to the UN office nearest you (SEE LIST BELOW) and EMAIL a copy to SOS at Columbia University, L. Dumble and to President Bush. Please circulate. 1) PRINT the letter, sign it with your town and country and FAX it to the UN Representative nearest you listed below OR 2) Change each "I" to "We" in the text, attach it to lined and numbered pages for petition signatures, towns, provinces or states and country. After collecting 100-500 names, FAX to the UN Representative nearest you listed below AND EMAIL a copy to SOS at each of the following addresses: ljdumble@connexus.net.au; ets2002@columbia.edu; tsp2001@columbia.edu; sam2011@columbia.edu; gmc2006@columbia.edu and to the White House at president@whitehouse.gov (to show President Bush the world is watching and that his actions clearly do not represent the "collective will of the world.") 3) SELECT (highlight) and COPY the entire text of this letter/e-mail (do NOT use the forward button) into a new message, sign your name, town and country of residence at the bottom of it AND FAX a copy the United Nations Security Council nearest you as listed below and EMAIL a copy to SOS using the following emailaddresses: ets2002@columbia.edu; tsp2001@columbia.edu; sam2011@columbia.edu; gmc2006@columbia.edu and to the White House at president@whitehouse.gov (to show President Bush the world is watching and that his actions clearly do not represent the "collective will of the world.") 4) Then start a fresh copy (do NOT use forward button) of this message with no name on it and send it to as many people as you can. Thank you. ****************************************************************** Personal Letter/Petition for IMMEDIATE Security Council Action through International Law To All Permanent Representatives to the United Nations: I am alarmed by escalating violence and other abuses violating human rights since the morning of September 11th, 2001. I urge the Security Council to immediately assert its authority in this matter, restore international peace and security through International Law that will bring every person directly or indirectly responsible for the criminal acts related to the morning of September 11th to trial and justice. To proceed without UN Security Council intervention is intolerable. The UN must not abdicate its responsibility to ensure peace and security in the world at these critical moments. I recognize that no country or coalition of countries has legal right to declare war following criminal acts. I do not support terrorism in any form. My only goal is for peace and justice, globally responsible and lasting solutions to end violence. I urge the UN Security Council and all member states to fully explore the possible judicial responses to the crimes committed on September 11. The use of judicial mechanisms should be a first and not a last option. I now join millions others in a statement of our outrage at the barbarous and illegal acts related to Black Tuesday by signing this document for immediate enactment of International Law by the UN Security Council. Sincerely, NAME TOWN STATE/PROV.
