Water powered Car True?

gully bull B.S.E | 27.10.2001 13:15

The things we hear may or may not be true.

I know this aint about the war and shit but its relevant considering the reason that oil (again) is a contributing factor in why there is a war in the first place and i heard tales (mystical tales AHH) of there being a water powered car (very cool indeed) something to do with converting salt water or fresh water into deuterium oxide or heavy water. But i have also heard that this technique of converting water has been patented ,copyright ect by those 'really great bunch' the oil companies.Although many may see this as a near truth to me it sounds about spot on I have no real evidence for this so i feel a fool blathering on about something i have not in my hands but if any of you out there have any information on this LET THE WORLD KNOW the enviroment is more important than those greedy oil companies wallets!SO THERE!
Peace ,love and flowers in a non-mutilation way.

wonder of wonders...

not sure if the h2o car is quite true- i've heard rumours, too- do know that henry ford had a car that ran on hemp fuel, with a body made mostly of soy plastics and other substances which produce next to no pollutants when manufactured. the closest to an h2o car i've seen yet, though, would be the hydrogen fuel cell engine, which fuses hydrogen and oxygen, creating 2 by-products- the energy/work output and pure water. pretty nifty stuff. also, did you know that, with the use of a relatively small land mass (here in the us, about 6% of the country) covered in photovoltaic cells would provide for the current electricity needs here (and god are we gluttons), plus a surplus? it's also projected that in 10 years at the current rate of research, that same land area could cover a huge amount of global demands?

but it's not enough money for the boys' clubs here, so it's tough luck for all the rest of us, i guess.

Recipe for a water-powered car

27.10.2001 16:25

1. Stop wasting fossil fuels on electric power generation.

2. Take maximum advantage of the free energy of falling water (it's called hydroelectric power, guys)

3. Plug in electric car, charge up nicely.

4. Happy Driving!

apparently their is

27.10.2001 18:30

Some years ago i saw a program on BBC tv about a guy in the states (us) who had come up with the idea of a water powered car (byproduct water/energy) but nobody was interested it might have been a while ago 5-10 years i seem to remember that the auto industry bought the patent and he (the inventer)never heard from them again their intrests lie with the oil industry nuff said
What we need is someone find the patent in whatever office its regestered in and throw it up on the web so we can make our own if lots of people did it they would have to start putting it into production one way we can bend those bastards to our will is to directly challenge their $$$£££ income so if someone knows where the patent is lets see it does it really work? i think patents are public ? dont get me wrong im not advocating breaking the law or anything!!

Water powered stove

There was another program - Tomorrows World - where water was being used to power a stove - in Cuba I think.

water powered cars

Water powered cars? Learn some thermodynamics, folks.

Hydro power in the UK?
Solar power in the UK?

Maybe 1% of present energy requirements.

actually, as i posted above, there is a design which is based on hydrogen cell fusion. it's a technique used to slam H and O2 into water, which produces energy quite efficiently.
that's atomic physics, by the way. and i've studied enough thermodynamics already, thanks. they cover that in physics 101.

Tomorrow's World

28.10.2001 23:18

Yeah, there was a feature about it on Tomorrow's World ages back. A friend of mine has it on video - it worked by using the resonant frequency of water to vibrate the molecules - used very little energy to get going and then gave off loads as a result. But then you can't make as much money from selling water as you can from oil, hmm? Funny that it hasn't seen the light isn't it?

Just a quick addition

13.11.2003 02:21

Yeah, i've heard omewhere about a water powered car too, not sure where from though. Good point about not making as much money though. Hmm, no tax for the government off it, considering the aount of money they must be getting from petrol tax in the uk (80% or something ridiculous like that) it would be disasterous for our economy, no wonder we haven't heard a lot about it. Oh yeah, i read an article in the sunday times i think.

It works and has been proved!!!

Take a look at this...it works and has been proved, the MOD is working on it as well...read on!

Top Gear Road Tested

11.11.2005 10:18

It is absolutely true. So true, infact, that BBC's Top Gear actually road--tested a model designed by Ford. It worked and they drove it convincingly. The only problem with this car was that it cost in access of £10 million! I think this technology is a little while off yet.

H2O Pressure

13.03.2006 00:38

By reading this, it got me to thinking. What if the fuelcell contained pressurized h2o. It would generate the power required to move pistions, and it would be powered by water.

Oh yes, and down with the oil companies.

water powered car

14.08.2006 13:13

hi,
relevant to a number of posts. i heard that a guy in jersey in 1950's so called invented a car that run on water separating h2o. hydrogen and oxygen burned and by product water vapour excluded out through exhaust. i just heard today an eccentric scotmsman near forfar invented it back in 1920's and used to tour around his estate and area in the water powered car. i also heard ford motor company bought the rights out, he had to bury the car in an unspecified place. if u want real research data, it was an estate near forfar scotland. the house has a huge electric generato in it again advanced for time.

water power car

01.04.2015 00:52

My Grandad invented a couple of things before others did, and then they made them patent! Maybe patenters pick and choose?
So don't be taken in, there is a water powered car but the government have shares in oil. Also Water to make electricity could be 100% But we must be kept small! That's why Eco stuff alas is so more expensive, why? No one can afford it, unless they spend more money! Competition!
