Nasty

Ooooooooooh, I object to this obvious self promotion!!! SY, like all trots are reformist, the ONLY way to defeat capitalism is by smashing McDonalds, Gap and Banks once every four months, then going home to our nice middle class estates and boycott symbols of capitalism. No working class action is needed, and promotion of socialism is just sectarian! long live the Whack Bloc. Long live the State (because i like being violent!) - sorry i was just getting in before the onslaught of the usual suspects.

Question

What do you mean by 'working class action'? What exactly does that entail? Define PLEASE what you mean by 'action'???

You also shouldnt be so abusive towards middle class people considering some of them are involved with the student side of the Socialist Youth (correct me if I am wrong please).

I hate those terms, 'middle', 'working' etc, such bullshit. Sure isnt the whole aim of socialist parties anyway to make 'working class' people into 'middle class' people, i.e. better pay, nice private houses, better conditions, holidays, and access to universities, health care etc.

Yes/no?

Hey, if there's any lazy, slacker rich kids reading this who've ever burnt a McD/BK/Bank/cop shop, RESPECT TO YOU. Dont ever work if you can, because it will kill you. I would love to be in your shoes not having to slave for some fucker. Work is evil, like Karl Marx's brother in law Paul LaFargue I support the right to be lazy.

Sorry for posting a lot of non-news stuff lately, but socialists will kill any vibrancy of the new anti capitalism and have us working in shitty factories for a small bit more money than before.. woo hoo! Thats great that is! Saddled with a bunch of lying politicians at the helm, or even still look at your model Marxist/Leninist utopias of China, ex-USSR, all the Eastern Bloc, and modern day Cuba (regardless of the US embargo or not, all political dissent is silenced there). "But no", cry todays reds, "our future will work out differently". My hole it will. Socialism/Communism doesnt replace existing power structures. The authoritarian ethos of both mean that power will ALWAYS be devolved from people. Historically any deviation from this 'dictatorship of the proletariat' (e.g. Catalan autonomy, Ukraine) was frowned upon (and ruthlessly dealt with); and now today any deviation (i.e. RTS, Critical Mass, Black Bloc) from what the socialists see as their revolution and only theirs is similarly dismissed (thank fuck you lot arent in power or you'd probably deal with the Black Bloc siberian gulag style, or better yet some 'disappearances').

Socialism is not the answer. Communism is not the answer. But I dont have THE answer either. There is no ONE answer. There are many... but lets not repeat the mistakes of the past with the boring old Left dinosaur.

Reclaim your life. Respect to the Bloc. FIGHT BACK!

First of all, we in Socialist Youth/Socialist Party do not believe that the ex USSR/China/Cuba etc were 'Marxist/Leninist utopias'. These states were undemocratic dictatorships and were not socialist.
You refer to gulags, well who do you think that Stalin and co were sending to the Gulags? He was sending us i.e. Trotskyists. We have always opposed these repressive states.
However these societies were what we would call deformed workers' states ie there was no ruling Bourgeois class but rather a ruling political elite. We called/call for a political revolution in these states.

You also refer to the class makeup of Socialist Youth and in particular the webmaster. Well I maintain the site and I am not middle class. A vast vast majority of those involved in Socialist Youth and the Socialist Party are from working class backgrounds (unlike other socialist parties), this is shown in the historic difficulty that we have had building in Universities.

The working class ultimatly is the only truely revolutionary class. All other classes only oppose capitalism because it causes their decline into the working class the working classes are resisting capitalism for their survival. When I refer to working class, I am not just refering to people that work down mines and wear cloth caps. My definition of working class is based on a scientific analysis, the working class is the class that only has it's own labour to sell. This definition means that a vast majority of the population are 'working class' or proletariat. THe aim of Socialists is to take the means of production out of the hands of an elite minority of capitalists and put it under the democratic control of the vast majority.

You say that Socialism is not the answer! but then what is your answer?? You say you don't have one!! How do you think that you are going to change anything if you do not have a solution? How will poverty be eliminated? what is your answer to war? Sure you probably don't really want to change the system to any real extent, as it suits you and the rest of the BB very nicely. Sure, if it wasn't for capitalism Daddy wouldn't be able to get you a nice job whenever you decide to get a haircut & suit and stop thrashing cities. Your politics is the real dinosaur either take your politics seriously or leave it to those that do.

Middle Class

22.12.2001 18:52

Ooooh, I'm so much more working class than you are! Booo hooo. I'm right and you're wrong! You must be right. Blah Blah Blah. I could go on. I suggest you do some wider reading, and even more impotantly THINK for yourself. You've been indoctrinated like a true potential party leader.

were there any other people at brussels apart from trots? It is the fault of the anarchist movement and all other right thinking people that we let these political parties steal all the space with thier banners and megaphones, songs, symbols and slogans. Thier outdated and claustrophoic ideas need a counterpoint. "Path" is right, you are dinosaurs. Can anyone else write in with an account, really, im interested.
If we let these people become the face of anti-capitalism it is a big mistake, fight them now, or fight them later where as has been said they would have you working in shitty factories for slightly better money and anyone who wanted different would disapear, for the good of the people of course...working class my arse, no one wants to work if they can help it.

Scientific Socialism is ARSE!

"My definition of working class is based on a scientific analysis"

You what? You mean to suggest that the working class are somehow physically different to other classes? Science is science sociology is sociology don't try and pretend your ideology is 'scientific'...a lot of science sucks completely...

And as for remembering Stalin put Trotskyists in Gulags let us not forget Kronstadt eh? Would you rather be put in a gulag or gassed/machine gunned by those you made the mistake of fighting with not so long ago.....

Hey, how about this for a suggestion, instead of the Black Block smashing banks etc maybe they should smash the Socialist Wankers Party and all their mates....as you aren't allowed to defend yourselves (with gas masks etc) it should make you pretty easy targets....

Whose up for it then? Outside in the car park in ten minutes.

What are you lot on?

Why so argumnetative?

14.03.2005 15:31

Was doing some research for an article when I found this and it make me ask...
Why are the anarchists so anti-socialist?

This is an independent media site. Someone may be interested in what the CWI are doing, some may not. But to come out and attack the socialists just for posting their pictures?

What should the alternative be? Maybe an indymedia where all posts are monitored and ones from 'unacceptable' groups, i.e. those you disagree with politcally, can be removed or censored?

Research boy
