at the time (during the miners strike) that pic was in alot of the media urmm how did you get ahold of the pic? thru the media ? how else cause you didnt take the pic oh and it was black n white i think origionaly

What I find more interesting is not that the media doesn't show cops gassing/beating the shit out of people, because they do (okay, not enough, but they stil show it).

I think that we see a very different picture than your standard non-revolutionary. We see the armed agents of the State brutally crushing dissent and preserving the capitalist system; they see people under immense pressure(cops) being forced to resort to violence and courageously put themselves on the line in the name of law and order and all that is good about Western society.

I think that indymedia's the best way of trying to get round this (until everybody gets to see it for themselves...)

well spotted caty.just mabye theres some people out there who are younger ,if this makes them inquire about the miners struggle,well thats a bonus.(what better example of how the powers that be +the media can conspire to smash a strong section of our population)we all need to know how our enemy operates,in order to smash them.the media IS an arm of the state,and will only show a glimpse of what really happens,,mabye a 30 second clip...and i didnt say i took it, /ill try get the next one up to your standard :-)
