WOMBLES website back online!

circle-W | 10.04.2002 16:23

The WOMBLES are now back online, after several times to publish this web site: potential hosts have been threatened and harrassed by the UK police into refusing us. Despite this, new features are being developed right now in our top secret burrow so stay in touch!

more likely theyll throw him/her out !

11.04.2002 17:53

but i guess s/he may be on the verge of leaving anyway if s/he feels sympathy with real radicals.
i also guess the swp is in a bit of trouble; too many fingers streched into too many pies to coin the cliche. the socialist movement in general is wondering what the hell's going on with them, and so must the swp membership as a whole.
mystery is, how come such a party, (with its tendency to ridicule anyone who tries to contribute ideas and to shift position with the blowing of the wind) ever got to be the largest socialist party in britian anyway.

fools ! fools !

Easy answer.

It's because hardly anyone lasts long as a member. Tey join, they get wise, they leave. It's like running a bath with the plug out. There's always water in it, but never the same water. They also target students, many of whom are enjoying the last rebellious youthful fling before entering some conservative profession like teaching. Of course the odd (very odd) member sticks it out, usually dazzled by the bewildering display of front groups just like a budgie with a colourful new toy. And don't forget the Central Commitee are constantly thinking up new initiatives, or more likely, someone else's initiatives to take over.

Ronnie.

very odd

If the SWP are irrelevant, why are you obsessed with them?

'Cos they're there!

Because the average person who sees a demo thinks we're all like that. And let's face it, we're not and wouldn't want to be.
