by the way, dont underestimate the the capacity of the british proletariat to willingly fool themselves on foreign policy; usually, they will unquestioningly support whatever 'our boys' [ie the army &c] do abroad, and by extension, the USA military and even the Israeli. somehow, we have to bridge the gulf between university lecturer and worker.
