The working class predominantly support the capitalist system and quite a few of them are fasists. The revolutionary movement needs to do a lot more to break down the mindset of the industrial proletariat. It takes two to tango, bosses and workers are equally complicite in Capitalism. I am also from the U.S., where May Day originated. And now you'd be hard pressed to find a single person who knew what May Day was. Honestly. It's bizarre. May day demonstrations here never top over 2,000 or so in any one place. It sucks. But what the fuck is wrong with some of you European/UK anarchists? I mean honestly, the working class is just as complicit as the bosses? Fuck you! you've got to be kidding me! This is the exact same mistake the movement in the U.S. made in the 60s -- dumping the working class, alienating them. If you want to lose, keep doing it. Students and workers united can topple capitalism and developing fascism. Disunited, we'll get our heads busted in when the gestapo comes. Marxists and Anarchists alike need to realize their common class enemy, and be one with the working class, not preach to them, or worse, brush them off as reactionary. While I'm typing, I want to thank everyone who came out for May Day in England and continental Europe. It's good to know that even if May Day in the U.S. is a forgotten tradition it's still celebrated somewhere.
