I happen to be one of those 'kids' who spend a lot of time on inner-city estates (including Peckham) and yes it is a shite hole. You know why? Because the Capitalist system has failed the young men who are born in pens and raised in shit, those estates are prisons. The schools are crap, the curriculum fetters your mind. You see, people from these areas can't relate your production line consumerism. They are caught in between the culture of Capitalist greed that your system instills, and a realisation (at least in their uneducated minds) that the only way to get what they want is to take it. Your corporations pushing no-moral over commercialised 'rap' tunes from the 'ghetto' (somewhere in the US), have completely destroyed whatever culture these kids had left. But hey, there's a choice, right? Yeah, just like you have the choice to HATE.
So what to do? First, we need to deal with those who are adding to the problem (ie. the BNP, NF, Nazi's, and all other pseudo-Fascist groups - you included Mr. Budden). Then we need to deal with those little bastards that wreak havoc on the community; show them the way, and give them a choice, educate them out of their ignorance. Then if they continue to be little bastards (beating up old ladies for their pension, etc), come down on them as hard as you would any Nazi NF bastard trying to beat up an Asian schoolkid.
I have to admit the problem is very bad here, indeed. I make sure I escort my nan to collect her pension every week, but I fear for those senior citizens who don't have anyone to protect them. I agree that the streets should be safe. But I don't think that the loose morals of the BNP and alike will achieve this security.

All this business that has been so brainularly referred to in previous 2 messages is happening on a wide scale, the hidden curriculum in schools and colleges are deeply affecting the voletile minds of even the more intellectual students. If you ask someone in this college to give you an hour long lecture on Einstein's most complicated theory they'll give you an entire 10'000 word dissitation, but if you ask them to justify why they paid £150 quid on the latest pair of Nike shoes sent from Indonesia with love, they wll most probably babble the biggest load of indeciferable crap to justify the idea that "Humans HAVE come a long way, brands ARE NOT an issue", and the most common argument of all, "if all this capitalism you are going on about is wrong then how come nobod gives a feck?".

It's just this kind of attitude that is encouraged in a modern day society. In the boarding house in which I live in I am labelled a freak and many people who walk, talk, act and look the same credit themselves in front of me out loud for being Normal, then piss themselves laughing. They only listen to a song if it's been in the No. 1 on MTV first, they come up with brand new hip exclamatory remarks like "Fuck a duck!" and "Rape!", which are bellowed out loud over the house just for the sake of it. I don't feel like a victim here but that's besides the point, people have become nothing more than consumers, commodities for a bigger system. Every parent has been so busy out making money that the media world attacked their young! They've been taken over and there are only a few lucky individuals left. In fifty years Jimbob will probably be dead, maybe me as well, and these are the majority that will be left to run the country. Clones with different classes. I hope to god there's a new ice age and life just starts over again, we never were the dominant species we claim to be anyway.

You might also like to know that this morning at 8 o'clock I was stopped by some high class W*nker reversing in his BMW, winding the window down and shouting "Young man!" ALL at the same time! The look on this guys face was enough to make you realise that material possession and money can bring happiness if you've already traded your soul for it. Why did he stop me? Because I was stepping over a fence as a shortcut to get back to my boarding house, I was not damaging the fence, I was not stepping on the grass patch it was there to defend, and therefore not vandalising or defeating the objective of the fence in any way. But this assole still stopped me and gave me sh!t because "I knowingly disobeyed rules", and "society is built on a structure of rules". He then asked me if I respected the fence and the rule system, and I gave him a long lecture about why I don't. He said that people would look at me and follow my example by trampling overt the fence and I resonded by saying that he is applying the "monkey see, monkey do" theory to the few thousand students in the college because they are seen not as individuals but as commodities. Having been proven wrong this guy hit the roof and I have to go to the principle's tommorrow!

At the moment some of you might be asking what this has to do with issues concerning racism, the answer is that it has everything to do with it. If people like this have the right to control me (despite the fact they get 6 grand a year from my hard working family in Portugal, to feed me shite breakfasts and treat me like a commodity) then it is only logical that many students are subconciously affected by this over the stages of schooling they go through. If people are trained from a young age to abide by strict norms and values set by higher classes who have the power to determine a dominant culture (which most defend addamently as 'Maturity') then it follows logically that an entire childhood of this probably leads to many of them not thinking for themselves but only themselves in relation to rules set for them. And if they support capitalism then it will follow that many of themselves as superior, as did the dumbass that stepped out of that BMW.

Seriously though, if you're not joking about just starting to think for yourself, then don't be tempted to join some silly group that will get you arrested for minor offences and waste a lot of your time which could be better spent learning and working towards a bigger plan.
