LET’S TALK CLEARLY

Writing or not writing about the G8 once again: it was not an easy decision for me take. Just the thought of everyone else doing it triggers an opposite reaction in me. Still, a letter, or article or whatever you want to call it, appeared on La Stampa dated 31 July 2001 page 26 signed by Leonardo Zegna and titled “Simply the Bible” where, amongst other things, he says “…is it true or not that still nowadays the relations between the U.S. and South America are controlled more by finance and economical interests than politics?”
. Good on you, Mr Zegna, you discovered Columbus. egg!
I never saw such confusion, it is not true but I had to write it, it strikes more.
Everything inside me had a reaction, a painful one? A pathetic one? A disgusting one? A puzzled one?

During this period I have received heaps of written material, thoughts, denunciations, stories, declarations of war and photos regarding what has happened during those damned days of Genoa, an infinity of subtle statements, from the defence of the constituted order to the defence of freedom, let alone the large amount of news on daily papers, weekly ones, fortnightly, monthly and various TVs.
A big business, then with an sale increase, etc… at the end of all this it was the information that missed out of it, let me explain, everyone in the world knows what those Black Blok baddies did or did not; they all know the “leader” Agnoletto’s face, everyone had the bad luck to see the blood covered face of that protester that was killed by the police, etc. However, very few have an idea of how much the governors of the 7+1 most important countries on earth have achieved and this is just as well for the organizers of the so posh meeting as nothing was achieved or better very little…peanuts, nonsense or if we want to sound vulgar…. Fuck all! Like the magnificent Black Roman Aristocracy in the past, they used to throw the leftovers of their meal to the starving people out of the balconies of their Renaissance palaces, nowadays the G8 throw some crumbs to the poor countries of the world out of their balconies.

Furthermore what has happened was inevitable, or better, in my opinion, only some idiots could believe in a peaceful demonstration, only some devious characters could make everyone believe that everything was under control.

For months upon months the Italian Media and others, carried on a capillary propagandistic campaign regarding various problem of public domain that may have arisen thus nourishing the expectations of some imbecile, raising the tension and increasing the protest. It was what I dare call “Chronicle of a death foretold”.

Anyway, let’s come to the crunch; after reading so much, what I ended up with can be summed in a single word “confusion”, total confusion, a confusion that shows once again how low the political debate and analysis stooped.

The real problems they create for themselves are various and varied, however I believe they are just ramifications of the real problem that nobody wants or cannot deal with: the nature of the capitalistic society and the function of the State.

The situation before us is intractable; the various political leaders incriminate one another even within their own ranks.

The Leaders of the so-called movement and the new left wing (yuk!) with their propagandistic winging made me throw up “there were spies amongst the protesters” “we even have their photos! Here is the proof!” as if it were anything new, don’t tell you did not know? Words, words, just words…spies are and will always be anywhere, I know it, you know it and there were even up to a few months ago within the left Government or were there not?
Let’s not talk about the demagogy about the nasty police force “it looked Pinochet’s Chile, a typical South American situation” a Rifondazione (communist) member of the European parliament declared to TG3. This is another proof of how low the political analysis has stooped. I would like to ask this eminent “communist” representative whether she has at least read about Marx, Engels or Lenin. I don’t think so otherwise she should know that the police and army’s duties are to defend the constituted order by all means. We can all look back at history to realize that the harshness and toughness of the police force varies accordingly. The harder the clash, the harder the repression; it is not about democracy and fascism since they both are linked together within a Government. The Italian democracy kept the famous “code Rocco” as a spare card just in case…you never know; it could come useful sooner or later. The pure democracy does not exist or it only exist in the dreams of some fain-hearted intellectual or platonic dreamers; if we only analyse what democracy is, we realise that in theory it is nothing but the dictatorship of a majority over a minority and in practice it is the dictatorship of a minority that counts on a majority that does not count or if we want to make it simple, dear “communist” deputy, like Marx says “the dictatorship of a class over another” and Lenin adds “a paradise for the riches and a trap and deceit for the poor and exploited”. You should know this, though, shouldn’t you? And what about the pacifist fairy tale, what then? Don’t talk about Ghandi, have a look around India and see how the vast majority of Indians live, or better, die!

Let’s not talk about the great international pacifist movement of the beginning of 1900 that ended with the First World War also thanks to the support of the various pacifist and national social-democratic movement, led by the “great” socialist Kautsky. It is again the same story: they are all pacifists during the peace and warmongers in order to defend the beloved motherland from the attackers when needed.

As I was saying before, the real problem is the State, its nature and its being. For this reason I would like to remind the gentlemen of the movement, certainly nit Berlusconi or Fini as they very well know, that the State is not the idea or the purpose typical of Hegel’s philosophy.
Nothing like that: the State is never and will never be above the parties, still I should carry on and on for far too long. Therefore let me suggest some literature that should be like the Bible to all of you left wing supporters. “The communist manifesto” by Marx-Engels, “State and revolution” by Lenin, but also “ proletarian revolution and the renegade Kautsky” again by Lenin and perhaps you will find that your ideologies and political tendencies have nothing new or revolutionary, at all, on the contrary they are old and highly criticised by those who should be your …Fathers.
