Defination of 'fascism'

Thomas J | 24.08.2002 23:54

A defination of the term "fascism", a commonly used word among IMC users, courtesy of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

There are two definations in the online Encyclopedia Britannica, the first is:

"a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition"

the second:

"a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control "

The term 'fascism' common amongst articles and comments posted on IMC-UK, and it is useful to know what that word actually means, after all, it would be very embarassing if someone used it out of context or wrongly describe someone or something as 'fascist' when actually it isn't, wouldn't it?

This os exactly the path, tho we may not know who the ultimate leader may be - this is the global trend - and why not use the term fascist towards the global leaders - That's where they're leading us....

I would remind you that extremism in the defence of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

We need a new term to describe it

'Fascism' 'authoritarianism' 'totalitarian' -

We need a new term to describe this political system because it goes far beyond what we have seen in the past. What would the Gestapo have done with CCTV? What would the Stasi have been like with Dataveillance at their hands? What would Goebbels or Stalin have been like with the CNN?

What we have is now much worse, but in other ways it is completely different. Former concepts like 'fascist' fail to capture its essence, in my opinion.

We need a stronger term....

the definition of a fascist

25.08.2002 20:46

A fascist is a totalitarian authortarian type wimp, they believe in hierarchy, privilege and slavery for those whom they consider their intellectual, social and racial inferiors. fascists believe in collective oppression of those they consider their enemies, such as those that would contaminate their intellectual, social and racial purity. Fascists inherently believe in ritual sado masochistic practises, where the master has total domination of his slave, concentration camps were organised with this purpose in mind. inmates under the ownership of their commandente were used to advance scientific progress and experiments. a mass of human bodies to be experimented on, to be tortured to be straved to be enslaved. fascist foot soldiers, believe in total obedience and servitude to their social and hierarchal betters, they stand in line and they follow orders unquestioningly, they bow and they tip their caps, pleased to be of service, to their social and racial superiors.
